“They are coming to the United States in search of protection,” one activist told the Post. “It’s ridiculous to argue that the babies in the caravan are a national security threat.”

Unsurprisingly, the American Civil Liberties Union will put its two red cents in. Omar Jadwat, director of its Immigrants’ Rights Project, told the Post that the Supreme Court’s ruling that backed Trump’s travel restrictions doesn’t apply in this case. “That’s the law,” he told the newspaper. “You get a chance to explain why you think you are going to be persecuted if you return home.”

But the migrants aren’t “coming ... in search of protection,” as the Post itself and The Associated Press revealed.

The migrants are coming for jobs. “We are workers,” an illegal alien told the Post. “What are we supposed to do in Honduras if there’s no work?” And “most of the migrants,” the Post reported, “were not planning to apply for asylum.”

“It’s ridiculous to argue that the babies in the caravan are a national security threat.”

We’ll take in all the ‘babies’ and the old Grandmas, and any of the ‘trafficked’ young girls and boys you’re dragging along, but the men and women of fighting age? Nope.

Go home and fix your own country! Quit wasting our time and stealing our resources.

Mexico offered them asylum and they declined. They have no further legal right to claim asylum.

Plus, the first country they enter after “fleeing” their own is the country they must ask for asylum.

Or they could go to the US embassy in their own country and ask for asylum there, but since they’ve already left...

Only people in America have rights, outside of the country you have no rights. Solution, keep them outside of America.

This is the one case that I HOPE THE DEMOCRATS WIN, provided it gets overturned on appeal.

Imagine be a Democrat candidate and trying to explain why your party is preventing Trump from protecting the country against what are now WAVES of Illegals coming north.

Talk about HANDING TRUMP A GIFT!

Let the Angus King/Chellie Pingree crowd take their best shot, we have a new Supreme Court, a 5 to 4 Conservative Originalist court.

Pick them up. Drive them straight to central America and kick them out. Easy fix. Don’t wait for them to get to the border. Go into Mexico and get them.

The “caravan” hasn’t gotten anywhere. It was seen today in San Pedro Tapanatepec, Oaxaca, MX, by a Fox News reporter. Fox News is hysterically exaggerating its progress with implications.

Migrant caravan appears to be moving northward faster, as crowds take advantage of free rides

Give each refugee a number, tell them at the moment the US of A isn’t taking hiring but if an opening appears we’ll call them. Now go home and don’t come back.

I’d guess carfuls of the “caravan” have already taken rides north and seeping or close to seeping into the USA. they would be smart to splinter off and find ways in if they truly want to get here.

Also hundreds are still coming not even including the “caravan”, so whatever Trump does needs to address all current illegally crossing not just “caravan’.

I agree , Trump needs to state Mexico offered assylum which they rejected so no assylum seekers allowed.

There is no other lawful allowance i know of for illegals to enter, so zero should be able to cross into USA. Praying Trump stands strong and has wisdom from God and good council and able to block all efforts by the pro-illegal/anti-USA US citizens.

It is my opinion that the courts have no say on the matter.

The President of the United States has the authority to use the military to defend our nation’s borders.

Congress, not the courts, is the only check on this authority (by way of impeachment).

I think President Trump has been playing “rope a dope” with the courts by quietly abiding by the various decisions with out much of a fight. He (again in my opinon) was doing this until the time was right to put the court back in their place.

With just days before the mid-term and with the majority of the American people supporting him I believe he could choose to ignore any court ruling demanding he allows the invaders into our nation.

We are indeed living in interesting times.

I think President Trump has short circuited the phony asylum claim rise by pressuring Mexico to uphold its Refugee obligations under international law and offer asylum to those passing through its borders

Under international law, refugees are granted asylum in the country next to the country they are fleeing. From there , they can apply for asylum in other countries, but other countries have no obligation to accept them

Mexico has offered asylum and the “Refugees “ have turned down this offer.

They now have no standing to claim lawful refugee status at the US border

What they can do is go back to Southern Mexico and occupy refugee camps in return for providing labor for Mexican infrastructure development projects

From camps in Southern Mexico they can apply to for American Refugee status and petition for refugee visas

This is the pros we President Trump and Sec of State Pompeo are referring to when they speak about legally entering the US

You can be pretty certain President Trump will be very diligent in following the law and repatriating the caravaners to their refugee camps in Southern Mexico so they can work the jobs Mexicans don’t want to work in return for their Refugee Camp room and board

They do say they want jobs, after all

Trump is going to have to ignore these injunctions and tell the federal activist judges that he will see them at the Supremes.
