Red Sox unsure on White House visit if invited by Trump

1 Nov 20181,555 BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Red Sox say they haven’t decided whether they will visit the White House if invited by President Donald Trump.

Manager Alex Cora said Thursday he wants to use the platform he has as a World Series champion in the right way. A native Puerto Rican, Cora has been outspoken about the need for help on the island since it was devastated by Hurricane Maria.

The traditional White House visit has become increasingly partisan, with some players declining to make the trip because of their political views.

“The game is boring enough without predictable libtard behavior on your part. Be different.”

————————————————————————————————

These baseball players should reconsider their behavior off the field a tad more.
Baseball is not football. Football is a Goliath and their political stance has had them in a firestorm for a couple years now. Baseball is an old mans sport. Attendance is down. Viewership is down. Kids aren’t playing the game in the needed numbers. And now you want to throw in this PC bullshit? You really want to put the stake into your sports heart? Keep up this SJW behavior losers...........

Maybe Alex Cora can use his WS bonus share to get some of those relief pallets off the runway in PR.

Let’s see a list of all the players/coaches on the Red Sox team and exactly what each person has done for and what each has donated to the people in Puerto Rice. This should begin with the coach.

...either all attend or none attend.

Bingo!

But to test it, let's turn it around - had I, and perhaps you, received even a non-political invite from O'bama it would not have been a close call.

The relevant distinction is that O declared the Constitution was "fundamentally flawed" and clearly announced his intention to "remake" America according to his leftist world view.

Trump, of course, wishes to "rebuild" ("MAGA") consistent with the Constitution.

Re: Cora's criticism (if that is true), there was simply no lack of emergency supplies sent to PR or its timeliness. The manager ought to be more concerned with the failure/corruption in the local distribution of that aid.

Discontinue All overpaid Sports Teams visits to the White House. Obama was star stuck, needed all The fanfare, Trump is a bigger Star than some guy or girl playing sports for a living...Real Heroes Police, ICE, Military, etc are worthy of the WH visit....

Who gives a flying **** what these pampered overpaid entertainers think say or do outside their one talent (ball playing) - If think is a word that can even be applied to them. And why would they be invited to the white house anyway? Nothing they do has the slightest bearing on the business of running the government.

Or tell them he'll meet them at Yankee stadium so they can see what pennant flags really look like.

Then... don’t invite.

I heard (on the radio) the hospital workers & staff up in Pittsburgh wishing Trump well and thanking him for visiting the hospital...

The Little People, You know the same ones that can’t afford baseball tickets to Major League games.

I have never liked the Red Sox by the way, especially since 1972 when the DH came out in the American League adopted it because they wanted to add excitement to the game.

Yes it is possible to be a moron and a dbag at the same time

From the anti-Trump loudmouth crying about no aid sitting in
front of mountains of aid packages

to the racist incompetents and ingrates of that kleptocracy that
should have been cut loose to sink or swim after Vieques

to all the other banana republican players, the anti-Clementes
who don’t lift a finger or spend a peso to fix their busted
homelands

FU, go home and don’t come back. Take all your illegal parasitic brethren with you

When Hollywood and other entertainers let Trump know that they wouldn’t come to the White House, Trump changed to having military musicians whenever music was appropriate. It has worked very well, probably a lot easier for the Secret Service to vet them also. Trump will handle this well. He is a lot busier dealing with foreign heads of state, business leaders, etc than his predecessor.

If the sox can’t make it to the White House on the chosen day, have a bus loads of WWII vets from the WWII Memorial stop by the White House to be thanked in person by President Trump. They are flown and bused in to see the Memorial every day. It shouldn’t be a problem getting their bus and plane to add another couple of hours to their stay in DC. They should do this every time a poor sports team makes poor decision on a White House visit.

Then Alex needs to visit the Mayor of San Juan and the Governor of PR to discuss the local government issues preventing the aid. Oh and Alex take your checkbook, you know how PR really works ;).
