This is my last post on this subject. I said the story about the the dog dying was sad. The part I found funny was that it was linked to a Medieval theory of thinking where the dog’s passing was an omen of greater worries about to befall the nation. I certainly hope no one here believes the dogs passing was a Sign that a greater tradegy was about to happen. It was a coincidence - but I haven’t heard anyone make that kind of linkage about events for a long time, so I found it (the linkage) amusing. I’m still sad about the dog passing.
