Limbaugh, Hannity joining Trump on campaign trail
The Hill ^

Posted on 11/04/2018 10:48:44 AM PST by Sybeck1

Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will join President Trump at a rally on the eve of this week's midterm elections, the Trump campaign announced Sunday.

The two conservative media personalities will join Trump for a rally Monday night in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The campaign noted in a statement that Hannity and Limbaugh are "longtime friends" of Trump and "strong advocates for the President's America First agenda."

"We're glad to welcome Cape Girardeau native Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity as special guests to this final stop on the tour where President Trump will make his case to the American people to support GOP candidates on Election Day in order to continue our great American comeback under his leadership," Michael Glassner, chief operating officer of the Trump campaign

Trump is the best President of the 21st century.

Hannity is probably tied down in NYC as long as he does both radio and TV shows. He might be able to do his radio show elsewhere, but his TV show has to be done in the FOX studios.

No it doesn’t. Fox News has already said he’ll be doing his show from the event and interviewing the President.

Rush has come quite a distance from his days of bumping bellies with the Bush globalist. I’m glad he decided to get on board. Maybe he’ll now endorse 45 come 2020.

Exactly what I was going to post.

He’s pro-Trump most of the time these days, but before the election he went out of his way to read every anti-Trump article he could find (and the anti-Trump articles were endless!) and cut off anyone who called to support Trump so they could go to some silly pillow ad or something. I haven’t forgotten that, even if Rush likes to pretend he’s been “on-board” since Day One.

This is unprecedented. Delightful, but unprecedented.

Go back and read the post I was addressing when I said that. I wasn’t talking about Hannity doing one show remotely — but ALL of them.

I’m going to cut Rush Limbaugh some slack on this. He was doing his show from NYC for years when Donald Trump was as liberal as any high-profile figure in the city.

“I don’t recall Rush ever doing anything like this!”

It helps that it’s happening in his hometown.

“I knew it when Cape Girardeau was announced as a venue. Why Cape G of all places.”

I think there’s two reasons. Rush’s hometown obviously (his brother, David Limbaugh still lives there IIRC). The other is that after McCaskill indicated she didn’t need rural / bootheel votes, seems like a prime venue to harp on that statement.

It’s got to be really tough conducting business if you are not a liberal in New York City. And it must be difficult emerging as anything but a lib when that is overwhelming your environment and cultivating surrounds.

It is amazing how Trump has evolved over time and has been able to confront liberalism AFTER he has achieved enormous financial success in NYC.

Certainly it is within NYC that he has cultivated and perfected his ability to fight boldly and decimate his opponents with relentless smack downs. As a fighter, PDJT has earned the respect of many outside the republican vein and has captured the admiration and many of the votes of the black male demographic. Donald Trump is as tough as he is due to his being a native New Yorker.

Might be a bad idea...Trump will try to speak and Hannity will keep interrupting and never let Trump get a word in edge-wise...../s(yeah I know Hannity’s heart is in the right place but he needs to just shut up some times and let his interviewees finish their points.)

This is probably going to be unpopular.

Rush has come a long way from the Primary Season, when he mocked Trump and his supporters. His disdain for anything/anybody Trump was palpable. Caused me to cancel my 24/7 I was so pi$$ed off at him. Didn't listen to him for nearly two years after that.

I've gone back to listening to him. The only thing, and maybe now that he's out there supporting Trump and candidates, he always says "you Trump supporters", as though he isn't. Maybe now he'll start saying "us Trump supporters"!

Not unpopular, with me! You wrote MY sentiments, about Rush, exactly.

The only difference is that I have not yet returned to listening to his show. I was a LONG time listener AND 24/7 member, too.

The fact that he is still distancing himself....with that ‘you Trump supporters’, speaks volumes.

Glad that he will make a stop to this Trump rally, tonight. It is the very least he could do, if he truly supports conservatives. We’ve often wondered when he would step out, from behind the comfort of his golden microphone, to support conservatives like he did with Dan’s bake sale.

It’s been a long time coming, Rush.

Yeah, my criticism was directed at him from the campaign, Didn’t like it at all when he went overboard to “ding” Trump supporters every chance he got. I stopped listening to him and have tried to go back, which each time I did, he was wonderful to the President; however, I just can’t bring myself to listen to his show anymore. Maybe some day that will change. I hope so. And I should have kept my mouth shut on this thread. Oh well, can’t all be perfect. LOL.

Maybe FOX will run it live for a change given Hannity is involved? I wonder if they announced coverage?

Hannity owns a place in Florida. I think he will go there when he is finished with his career, provided Florida stays red. Every now and then, he says he thinks of quitting.

“I wonder why Hannity hasn’t followed Rush’s action and moved out of New York”

He does mention it sometimes — to Laura when they banter at 10 p.m. It’s said in jest, but not really.
