Voters casting ballots early in Sarasota say Trump was a big factor in their vote this year
Sarasota retiree Patricia Rardin doesn’t always vote in midterm elections.
“It depends on the issues,” said the 66-year-old former medical transcriptionist after she cast her ballot early over the weekend. “This one was important. I want to get rid of the people who vote alongside Trump.”
Rudy Fraccio used to vote for Democrats but now believes the party is too liberal. The 85-year-old Sarasota health care worker voted a straight Republican ticket over the weekend, in part to support President Donald Trump.
“I think he’s doing a very good job,” Fraccio said.

i hate to ask about polls but what have the polls in Fla looked like specifically for IND’s?
I’ll stop falling for it when we no longer have 120% Turnout at districts across the US.
What story are you talking about. Because the turnout one is 100% true. You could see the numbers from the state websites.
You do know the tacit that the democrats use where they accuse others of what they are doing.

38.1%
Republican 1194 =
38.7%
Independent 716 =
23.2%
Even when they average the polls they call the Florida governor’s race a toss-up at this point.
Here’s a link the gives a summary overview, which allows one to drill down at the different polls used.
The polls overall may be suspect especially when they use weasel words, such as “likely” voters.

True, one of the polls showed independent women voting for Gillum over DeSantis. At the same time polls can be suspect when they use ‘likely’ voters due to how many actually vote and did the pollsters fudge their numbers for political reasons.
Tomorrow’s turnout, especially in the panhandle, could be the deciding factor to offset the virtue signaling crowd voting for Gillum.
I’m afraid DeSantis did not take Gillum seriously and squandered valuable campaign time a month ago. Same with TCruz and the persistent “Beto”
agree and hoping your sentiments are on the mark...
