I agree 100%. Me personally, I actually got lucky. Liquidated enough to ride out an 08 event around the end of sept. Pretty close to top. If we hold house tonight Im back in. If not I sit tight a while.
Why lie?
Several reasons.
I don't trust those who would use the polls (ie. media) so why would I give them truthful information? If they had info my side was leading hugely, would they report it?
If I can contribute in any way to their embarrassment, then I will do so.
I had Dunn and Bradstreet pursuing me daily for information about our company - which they then sell for their own profit. I find this annoying. Its far worse with Facebook and Google. I feel we have come to a point now where exploiting privacy and private information is a mild form of prostitution, and can not have a good end.

I’ve never got a call (maybe one a long time ago when we still had a land line), I’d probably hang up so as not to encourage them.
