Florida waiting for Broward, Palm Beach counties in vote count
Sun-Sentinel ^ | 11/8/18 | Stephen Hobbs

Broward and Palm Beach County elections officials were still counting votes on Thursday morning, and questions continued about why more than 24,000 people voted for governor but not Senate in Broward.

The Broward elections office counted 22,000 ballots Wednesday, continuing late into the night. In total, more than 695,700 Broward ballots were counted by 1 a.m. Thursday.

Maybe they didn't like either candidate. It happens.

Voters typically pick a candidate for most major races, with more voters choosing not to vote in the less well known races lower down on the ballot.

The statistics of how many voters choose to skip a race are easily determined, and it is a standard test of voting system integrity to check what percentage of voters apparently did not vote in a particular race. Once we know what the real numbers are it should be possible to see if what was reported is unusual or not.

In most cases the percentage of voters who skip a race at or near the top of the ballot is small.

Last I checked, they were only 30,262 short.

It's tighter than that now... the difference is now 21,898.

Silly amateurs in Broward! If they had consulted with the experts from Cook County, they would have had all the votes counted before Tues,
**********
They got caught doing that in 1972 (read the book VOTESCAM) ... accidentally broadcast the EXACT vote totals prior to the election on one local station...

Don’t like who works your pct go to BSOE.org and volunteer to work a 14 hour day and a free unpaid training session....The machines self count and they are packed in separate bags with separate serial numbers imprinted on them and the Poll Leader has to put the serial numbers on her his report......no outside connections and the findings of each pct is printed and posted outside the poll on the wall....I have worked the past 11 elections and they are as safe as possible....

And the Legislature could refuse to seat Gillum. Also, McConnell could refuse to seat Nelson.

Scott should have gotten rid of Brenda Snipes after the 2016 fiasco.

I am now wondering if Trump and or Scott could or should have had lawyers/monitors at every precinct in that county. Crazy

Desantis got 10K more votes than Scott and Gillum got 10K more votes than Nelson.

I'm pretty sure I heard that on FNC. Doubt it has been reported anywhere else except maybe OAN. But I wouldn't know, as I don't get OAN.

The Sun-Sentinel reported it too, they just buried it in the middle of their story.

I voted in Sarasota County on a large two-sided paper ballot.

I stuck my ballot into a scanning machine and it was accepted.

Another woman to the left of me had her ballot kicked back by the scanner she used.

The poll worker nearby told the woman to examine her ballot for incomplete marking, since poll workers couldn’t look at the ballots.

I assume these poll scanning machines make and keep records of successfully scanned ballots. So if black voters were predominantly voting for Gillum, the machines would have the acceptance scan records, which could be checked.

“Broward and Palm Beach Counties are intentionally using outdated voting systems.”

I thought such a thing would not be allowed.

The Bush/Gore court decisions I believe required uniformity for Amendment XIV reasons.

Southern states tend to be top down states that require political subdivisions to strictly follow standard state rules and procedures.

If he has the backbone, it could potentially work itself up to the Florida Supreme Court and the USCC.

Does he?
