Tamera Mowry-Housley and husband Adam Housley’s niece Alaina died in the shooting at a college bar in Thousand Oaks, California. She was 18.
“Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks,” the Real host and former Fox News correspondent tell PEOPLE in a statement. “Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”
Alaina was at the bar with a group of friends when a gunman opened fire late Wednesday night. The bar was reportedly hosting a college night for country music fans.

The kids that were interviewed were very lucid and smart. That shooter was demon posessed and tore up some beautiful lives. Very sad. Especially for the parents. Prayers for all.

As it was reported, it was “college night” at the bar where it was opened for dancing...those under drinking age had a black X on their hands so they could not be served drinks but chances are they were mostly from Pepperdine University which is a Christian school and wouldn’t have been drinking anyway.
The country dance club/bar allows 18 year olds in, they stamp their hands with a big ‘X’, underage can dance but not drink.
And why is her death more tragic than that of a 5 year old black child in the ghetto that we never hear about?

Why would you say that? I didn’t read anything here that indicated preferential grief for these people! The Black Child in the ghetto is, unfortunately unidentified to most of us, and as a consequence doesn’t get the public’s direct sympathy. HIs or her life is no less valuable though.
