Alaska’s pretty big and is bristling with people with guns. The Russians might even leave the strip where Juneau is alone, since it also borders Canada to its South as well as East and might be to big to commit occupying troops to. Russia proper only has 160 million people and its integral territory is huge and they know China is eyeing Siberia. Alaska will probably be left alone.
My estimate is 60 million...we can’t even comprehend what angry unemployed engineers can create in their garages and work benches.( lots of old electronics around that can be repurposed) I see 60 million killed in a war that splits the nation in 3 or 4 sections. Might even involve tactical nukes since desperate tyrants will use extreme measures to keep their power.
It’s quite evident that neither side likes the other. How about a friendly separation instead of a civil war.

I’ve been saying for a while now, including on this forum, that the question of our age is whether one segment of our society will be able, and allowed, to vote the rest of us into slavery. So far they’re winning, IMO.
We have leftwing groups of weirdos committing violent acts and being shielded by the government. It’s only a matter of time before right-leaning people start organizing to fight them in the streets in reaction. It’s already happening some. We live in Weimerica.
