Strong rhetoric and violence on both sides of the political spectrum are reaching a fever pitch
Is the United States on the brink of a new civil war?
According to Newsweek magazine’s polling, a third of all Americans think such a conflict could break out within the next five years, with 10% thinking it “very likely to happen.” Plenty of experts agree. Back in March, State Department official Keith Mines told Foreign Policy magazine: “It is like 1859, everyone is mad about something and everyone has a gun.” He rated the odds of a second American Civil War breaking out within the next 10-15 years at 60%.
October’s awful events — pipe bombs sent to leading Democratic politicians and supporters, the mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh — have only amplified these fears. “We are now nearing a point comparable to 1860,” my Stanford University colleague Victor Davis Hanson recently wrote in the National Review.
The historian Niall Ferguson, another Stanford colleague, suggested in The Sunday Times of London that if someone were to design a “Civil War Clock” comparable to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ “Doomsday Clock,” the designer would probably now be announcing that it is “two minutes to Fort Sumter.”
Ferguson himself is more upbeat, thinking that “the time on the civil war Doomsday Clock looks more like 11.08 than 11.58.” It seems to me, though, that all these speculations are deeply misleading — so much so, in fact, that the main thing they illustrate is how not to use the past to understand the present.
Similarities, differences and broad patterns
There are certainly some striking similarities between the American political scene in the late 2010s and that of the late 1850s. Both periods saw extreme polarization over issues of intense economic and emotional importance.

The next civil war has already begun. Voter fraud and vote counting fraud is flipping elections in Florida and likely Arizona. California is defying federal law on many fronts. The courts are out of control and the borders are wide open. People say the military is securely in civilian hands and they will only take order from civilians, which civilians. The legitimacy of the government has been undermined. That is the point at which civil wars start. We could stumble along for a few years this way, maybe 5 but in the end it will only be resolved by force.
It is much higher than most people think. A police action against certain elements in America is growing greater and greater daily.
Death squads
What are “the rules” anyway, except manacles for one side and a blunt instrument for the other? At that point, it’s time to stop playing a rigged game and start another one.
This is happening across the entire Western world, it’s just more visible in the US. The divide in Europe is growing almost as fast as America. Australia is about a decade or 2 behind but we have the exact same situation.
At this point I think CWII is a matter when, not if.
What the West needs is a civilization wide divorce. The Left get Europe, conservatives get North America. The holiday homes (Australia and New Zealand) are split with conservatives getting Australia and the Left getting Hobbit central. For both sides sakes we should avoid having shared land borders (makes invading each other much more difficult).
Jews in Germany thought exactly like that in the early 1930s.
It's coming, whether we want it to, or not.
We are presently in a low-grade violent civil war.
The only question is how hot it goes, and how quickly.

Not being able to know the enemy could be a problem. Germany solved that problem with the Jewish star. The libs have already picked their costume of black leather and face covers. Conservatives are still timid and trying to stick to the Great Commandment. The cross will be our identification mark.

That sounds like an excellent plan to me. Our Leftists seem to think Western Europe is some kind of utopia. Having lived in 4 European countries, I know better, but let ‘em have the western half of the continent.
We’ll take in those who have a spine, have some self respect, and are not prepared to accept feral Muslims raping their women without a fight. We’ll all be much happier this way.

A lot of liberals wear crosses, too. Very few, however, own any apparel with Old Glory on it.
One possible path. Leftists continue to push and up the ante with more overt violence towards conservatives and more false flag operations used to justify it. Eventually some on the right have had enough and actually do run a few ops against the left. These are far more brutal, better conceived, and better executed than any of the BS the leftists have managed. The rats finally have their excuse, push for martial law and draconian measures. These are too much for a much higher percentage of freedom loving patriots who organize far more quickly and thoroughly than anyone on the left anticipated. Emboldened by a few key refusals to accept orders regarding arrests and or detention of American citizens by law enforcement and military personnel, the new American patriots take direct action to oust the growing leftist cancer at *all* levels. Violence breaks out nationwide. While the top tier leftists are reasonably well protected by well paid body guards (mercenaries in all but name) leftists at the local and state level suffer tremendous loss of life. Replaced by real Americans from the ground up, the leftist masters topple and flee their failed experiment. The cost is still measured in double digit thousands of lives.
