Dana Loesch Speechless After Learning Parkland Shooter Registered in Florida Election

It takes a lot to render Dana Loesch speechless, something I’m sure Michael Bloomberg  could agree to.

However, even the National Rifle Association’s most visible spokeswoman was at a loss for words when she found out that the alleged Parkland shooter had been registered to vote while behind bars in Broward County.

Nikolas Cruz, the 20-year-old man who is accused of killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School back in February, is currently awaiting trial in the Broward County Jail.

Yet, back in July, he was registered to vote. Andrew Pollack, whose daughter Meadow was one of Cruz’s alleged victims, was outraged over the fact.

I’m sick to my stomach. 18-1958 murdered 17 students & staff, including my daughter Meadow. Yet in July, Broward Sheriff @ScottJIsrael let people into the jail to get him & other animals registered to vote. The Despicable Democrats have no shame. Can’t let them steal this election. pic.twitter.com/qWisidEpek

— Andrew Pollack (@AndrewPollackFL) November 10, 2018

“I’m sick to my stomach,” Pollack tweeted.

And yes, it is legal. Until you’re convicted of a crime, you still have the right to vote. It wasn’t clear whether Cruz had actually voted, but the possibility was there.

Do we blame the ComDems for registering convicts? He is know to have committed the acts of murder, but is not yet convicted.

Now, Recently I read that in Florida they recently restored the right to vote to all the convicted felons. Because the ComDems needed the votes in this election?

This is why we should not let prisoners and felons vote.

Absolutely. Including those non-citizens who vote illegally in our elections.

Although Cruz has not been convicted of the crime, I’m not even a little bit surprised that the Democrats idea of allowing felons to vote backfired on them so quickly and so effectively.
It really sucks when your own insane ideas hit so close to home.

Felons cannot vote. There are no laws right now that prohibit non-felony prisoners.

They weren't eligible for this election....but will be in 2020.

If you are not convicted of a crime, you are still a full citizen.....In jail but not convicted, authorities are compelled to let you vote, lest they violate your constitutional rights.

Convicted felons in prison/jail CANNOT vote.....

innocent until proven guilty, and until you are proven guilty, your right to vote remains intact.

Actually that was Amendment 4 to the Florida Constitution that was voted on in the midterm elections.

“Convicted felons in prison/jail CANNOT vote.....”

I think that’s up to each state. (We do need a Federal law, though.)

First, Dana Loesch is an idiot if she is shocked that non-convicted prisoners could vote......

That alone should have the NRA remove her from a spokesperson position.....

Not to mention she is a Never Trumper.......maybe she needs some more Beet supplements....

Second, the concept that once a felon has served their time and is placed back in society, that some of their rights are restored is not necessarily a bad concept....

Don’t know of a single state that allows it if they are still in prison...

Yes, it is a states issue and DOESN’T need a federal law.....

Screw the feds, keep it a state issue.....

As far as I know, there is no official process to determine that. It may take a court action. I know one person who was convicted of a felony, and was able to restore his right to own firearms and to vote. He did not explain the details to me.

Net result of liberal thought and conservative principles: No person should be stripped of their right to vote until they are convicted.

Net result of conservative thought and moral action: No need to worry about his voting rights, he’ll be dead by next election.

Some states have passed a state amendment to blanket restore convicted, but released felons who have served their time.....

CHILL! While we may find it abhorent that the "Alleged Shooter" was allowed to register to vote..., he is still presumed to be innocent untile found otherwise and there is no legal impediment to his registering to vote! The sad fact is that he didn't off himself first!

If he was registered, then votes were cast in/under his name, count on it. And all were for the demonrat candidates the cheaters chose for his ballot.

It's already possible in FL. It depends on what they were convicted of and how clean their records are after serving their sentences. That amendment was just so much symbolism over substance. The proponents of the amendment insisted that it would NOT apply to sex offenders or murderers......YET.
