Bet that makes a heck of boom if it fires all at once. The recoil probably something else as well.

Looks like he was somewhat familiar with the weapon too.

And since it took at least half an hour to reload, you only got two booms per hour.

Notice the POS “citizen” in the white car coming from the other way. They saw the shootout and backed away as fast as they could and left the deputy to his fate. Damned low life.

They were right behind the mexican as he was hiding in the open drivers door. They only had to hit the gas to ram that door and -easily- maim him in that door. Sometimes cops deserve a hand.

It might have injured their car. And that would be just awful. Right? I aided a reserve cop one time who was being bested by a drunk. Got behind him and got him in a hammer lock as re-inforcements arrived. Cracked the crap out a plate glass window I got backed in to. Oh well.

Of course that was like 40 or so years ago pre “Sons of Arthritis”.

“...Sometimes cops deserve a hand....”
Yep. In any state that recognizes my CC, I will help them anyway I can as long as they don’t shoot me...LOL.
Those states that don’t honor (like MA, NY, NJ, etc.), well, a cop there is absolutely at his own peril. He/she knew up front what they signed up for. I’m not gonna stop to assist only to end up doing a year or so in jail on a firearms charge just for trying to do a good deed in helping out.

>>ALL illegal aliens need to be removed BEFORE they kill some one.
********************************************************
We know they need to be, but who is going to make it happen? The invaders have their advocates effectively placed into every sector of our society, especially the judiciary, who blocks our POTUS at every opportunity.

It becomes more clear with each passing day that trying to clean it up peacefully and lawfully isn’t working.

Too many rats infested the system, too many termites ate the foundation.

Sorry it sounds dismal, but sometimes that’s what reality is.

I think if I was cop, I would be taking the patrol rifle with me every time I got out of the vehicle....

Pistols are fine for self defense, but officers it seems, need offensive firepower at times, in hand, not locked in a mount.

I tend to carry a fighting handgun 20/7/364.25, but in my military mind, I am always thinking how I am going to get to my vehicle ( when out) or to my room when home to get to my rifle if stuff starts happening....

"Notice the POS “citizen” in the white car coming from the other way. They saw the shootout and backed away as fast as they could and left the deputy to his fate."

We all like to think of ourselves as willing to jump into the line of fire. I saw the car, and my first reaction was to think how easily he could have floored it and jammed the perpetrators in his car door and disabled the vehicle simultaneously. But then I realized I didn't know who was in the car. Could have been somebody driving their kids somewhere. Could have been somebody driving their kids and somebody else's kids somewhere. If your kids were in the back of somebody else's car on their way to football practice, cub Scouts, etc. would you still prefer they drive into the line of fire, or get them the he'll out of there?

Bottom line, I like to think I know what I would have done by myself, but I find it hard to judge the actions of another when I don't know all the circumstances. Deciding to put yourself at risk is one thing. Putting other people at risk is an entirely different matter.

Likewise - I attribute my ‘paranoia’ (which I am sure certain groups would call it) to my Military mind AND my former Baseball playing days, trying to think what I would do if ball hit to me and where to position myself in a ‘what if’ situation.

As to present day driving, I tend to approach an intersection and ‘what will I do if a car tries to turn in front of me, or such....

Like I say ‘paranoia??’ but it does keep one on toes and basically means a ‘shorter’ trip.

Of course, I will have people telling me that my ‘method’ is no different than if I were texting or talking on the hand held phone...

Probably good ‘advice’ for cop BUT if they start approaching your car looking like the swat team things could get ugly fast especially when the Police & Military take any and all nut cases and deal with the consequences later.

Thought about it a bit. I really doubt cops carrying ready slung carbines/rifles when doing traffic stops will evoke otherwise nonviolent subjects (of an investigation, not politically mind you) to reach for their roscoe and come out shooting. Rather, perhaps the opposite- knowing that a hit(torso) from a handgun is statically 75% survivable, but a hot from a rifle round is closer to 20% survivable, I think the deescalating effect would be more probable. At close close ranges ( like car distances) the 556/6.8 etc do wonderfully terrible things to flesh. Armor? Unless Joe the dirt bag is wearing TL4+ hard armor, pass on through buddy! With a TL11A ( readily available for a few hundred $) stops most police 9mm/40/45 reliably.

Thoughts?

I think what I was trying to get at is do we really need Israeli Airport type ‘security’ when Grandma is getting pulled over for not coming to a complete stop.

And you really can’t say that the ‘completely armed’ pullover is used on a random basis....

Profiling ‘proved’ that if you pull one over, you pull them all over, the same way

And with restrictions for LEO hires becoming more watered down, a real kook or two (more than usual) is liable to slip through the cracks.

Same as in Ex Military doing ‘mass shootings’... How can you blame the ‘Military’ when they are ordered to accept all kinds of NUTZ, including those that at 17 don’t really know which head to use?

Well, cops are armed when they pull Grandma over for California stops, so what if the arm is a rifle?

Never said randomly- Do it all the time.

Ditto ref your profiling

You may have a point regarding LEO hiring, then maybe they all out not be armed at all?

The military, excepting the sodomites etc, does not have to accept anyone. If qualified, they can enlist; as a former enlisted recruited I passed on many an applicant who seemed not to be the kind of person I would want in my squad or platoon. other recruiters I am certain simply pushed them into the MEPS line and said “ not my problem”..

Agree etc BUT if Johnny thinks he is Janie he has the nut factor down pat and you may have to figure he/she/it will snap eventually.

They had come out with an order to discharge those that couldn’t deploy but see where it has been rescinded.

As to the ‘recruiters’ I know they expect a quota to be met and sometimes certain malfunctions may be overlooked.

Best example I can/will cite is McNamaras OneHundred Thousand.... and that came directly from the TOP....
