No, it has not. They only cared once it became clear that Mexico wasn’t merely a transit to the US. Now they see a closed border as a threat.
The risk of losing that open border is the only thing governing their actions. If Mexicans were truly nationalistic, the cartels wouldn’t be running the country.

That same concept can be seen daily all over the US. To paraphrase your statement just a little, any people who claims to subordinate its own interests to another, whether that be gender, race, politics, ethnicity or whatever, is lying or inhabited by lunatics. I unfortunately have a few acquaintances with whom I went to school long ago, that are now rabid liberals. I see them making sickening posts all over Facebook shouting the desire and the “need” to eliminate all white males, in fact all whites in general. Raving that the county and the future belong to those “of color”, and that all whites must accept their subservience or, better, be killed so they can’t breed. And these are all white women making these self-deprecating rants.
