American’t: From Midterms to End Times (Here comes The American Apocalypse - best article ever)
American Thinker ^ | Selwyn Duke

Posted on 11/20/2018 2:24:53 AM PST by RoosterRedux

Truly great disasters come like a thief in the night. How many foresaw Rome’s sacking in 410 A.D., her collapse 66 years later, WWI or WWII? As for today, how many see that the United States is at what some call a tipping point, what others may call a Fourth Turning? Whatever you call it, the American republic is in its last days. This is too scary for many to contemplate, but there’s something far scarier: playing ostrich and not being prepared for things to come.

The so-called Left, ever violent since its French Revolution birth and as power hungry as ever, wholly controls the culture: the media, mainstream and social; academia; and entertainment. This means it controls long-term politics, since the latter is downstream of culture. So is big business, mind you, which is why the Left controls most of it as well; this, of course, translates into funding.

Trump’s 2016 victory will not MAGA; it was merely a stay of execution, a prolonging of the inevitable. This should have been obvious in a country that could elect Barack Obama and then, like the Titanic having backed up to hit the iceberg again, re-elect him. If it wasn’t, it should be obvious now that the Democrats have seized the House in a Watergate-level rout.

...

There no longer is an “American people”; there are peoples living in America. We’re balkanized not just racially, ethnically and religiously, but also ideologically, sexually and philosophically; we speak different languages, literally and figuratively. With open talk of open-borders socialism on one side and nationalism on the other, the Overton window is now so wide that each end occupies a different time zone. Frankly, many of us hate each other. If our union were a marriage, we’d have divorced long ago.

That is over-stating things.

This article has over a thousand comments at AT and many of them are worth reading.

I read this article at 4:00 AM this morning after having wrestled all night with my first cold in 20 years.

At first, it was downright depressing.

But, as I came to my sense, it occurred to me that we might as well relish this fight. After all, though we may not be on the right side of history (depending on who wins), we are on the right side of morality, decency, and honor.

Well said Rooster. We know a fight is coming. Instead of crying in our collective beers, we should be preparing. We may not win the war but we can inspire new generations of conservatives by standing up for morality. That’s what makes Trump so popular. Americans love a fighter even if that fighter uses violence to bloody the opposition physically and mentalliy.

I just finished reading the whole article. Worth it. It is somewhat depressing but it is what it is, have to see it to confront it and the writer is completely correct - we are suffering from a lack of morals.

Let’s see. Arizona is now purple, soon to be blue. We’ve already lost Nevada and Co. Rats are salivating over Tx. and Beto. Did I leave anything out? We can’t count on our bench after Trump. Those 16 or so GOP contenders he beat were top tier, the best showing in decades. None would have beaten Hillary.

I actually have another comment. It also seems the writer it writing to Trump. If our president truly “has the goods” on many up high in the government he needs to use it all. Any defeat of the left cannot be smooth or mitigated.

What wasn’t mentioned was the likability factor in the Democrat POTUS losses. Gore, Kerry, and the Hildebeast were just plain unlikable. Not worthy of being seen every night on the 6:00 news. Still they start off with 45% and it only takes a pretty boy with the gift of gab to get 6% more of the suburban housewives to take their pants off. It points to Biteoff.

First article I have sent to my kids - ever.

They are the next generation. Although one is left, one right and one in the middle, they all need to read this. It is a very interesting (and depressing) read. The statistics about the voting of Blacks, Jews, etc. in the mid-terms was eye-opening and sad.

Makes it very clear why Democrats want open borders.

Query, how do we win the immigrants over without bankrupting the country further? Wish I knew.

The question becomes “How will white people be treated when White is a minority?” Just North of that is “Will White people wake up in time?”

Hello? seems many people have forgotten we (individually or as a group, nation) can not do anything good apart from God. too many people looking to people for answers or salvation from the evil growing inside the USA when we really need to seek and follow the LORD and He will lead the way.

So many want to focus on the end times like we have some control over it, but only God knows when that will be because people since the apostles keep saying it’s close, but in the mean time we are to be about His work.

In 1857, abolitionist leader Frederick Douglass described how public opinion limits the ability of those in power to act with impunity:
"Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed
upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the
endurance of those whom they oppress

Why is Trump bothering to fight so hard against the caravans? They will get in here eventually. We don’t need a fighter like Trump any more it’s too late for that. We need a spiritual awakening and some one to lovingly teach the principles of morality and honor in the face of advancing anti-Christianity.

Sad to say it, but I am coming to the conclusion that we would be better off if California left the union. What really do the rest of us have in common with places like SFO where it is tolerated for bums to crap on the streets, where “forest management” results in a refusal to cull old trees that are fire kindling, where taxes are sky high and going higher, where there is little recognition of the “old” America? Our fellow “Americans” from there and states like Massachusetts, CT, northern NJ, NYCity all seem like they are from another planet in their views, customs, manners. Perhaps it is time for them to go.

I don’t think it’s possible. Asians, many/most of whom escaped communism, should be voting GOP at a 90%+ rate. If you can’t get them, you’re never going to make a pitch that will get a majority of them because the majority of them coming here are culturally and socioeconomically predisposed to vote for Democrats.

It didn’t seem that long ago that people around here were optimistic about the country’s future. Now, most people agree that this article is an accurate prediction of what lies ahead. Eventually, optimism gives way to realism.

There will always be a left-right divide, but the mainstream GOP candidates will be Kasich and Flake while the left goes Alexandria Occasio-Cortez, just as they want it. Soon, those Republicans will be considered fringe as well as the country continues drifting left.

Trump may still win in 2020, but I think he’s going to be it for a while, maybe the last GOP president depending on how long the union holds.

Oh, yeah. Great idea. Don’t fight. Sit there and let your world be destroyed while you take solace in fantasy.
