How old are the used ones they are buying from Australia? They are F-18 A and B models.
Pretty much the same age. All U.S. Navy and Marine A’s and B’s are retired, except for the Blue Angels. The Spanish, Canadians, Australians all bought their aircraft in the late 80’s. Kuwait got their aircraft after the 1991 Gulf War. There aircraft had lighter under carriages and were considered hot rods.
