“While I was reading this letter that was kind of released today, my main concern was that there is no vision, there is no common value, there is no goal that is really articulated in this letter aside from we need to change,” she said. “I do think that we got sent to Congress [with] a mandate to change how government works, to change what government even looks like. But if we are not on the same page about changing the systems and the values and how we’re going to adapt as a party for the future, then what is the point of just changing our party leadership just for the sake of it?”
Ocasio-Cortez — a 29-year-old upstart progressive who spent her freshman orientation protesting with environmentalists outside Pelosi’s office — also expressed concern that opposition to Pelosi could produce a more conservative Democratic leadership.
“If anything, I think that what it does is that it creates a window where we could potentially get more conservative leadership,” she said. “And when you actually look at the signatories, it is not necessarily reflective of the diversity of the party. We have about 16 signatories, 14 of them are male. There are very few people of color in the caucus. There’s very few [sic] ideological diversity. It’s not like there are progressives that are signing on. It’s not like you have a broad-based coalition.”

Newly elected liberals, led by the 29-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, are demanding the Democrats back a “Green New Deal” to rapidly transform the economy to 100% renewable energy in a decade – a target largely in line with Extinction Rebellion’s own demand to reach net zero by 2025...
Henn said that the only way in which the Extinction Rebellion movement would take off in the US would be by “moving away from a climate movement that is predominantly made up of older, middle-class white people”.
Instead, Henn said Extinction Rebellion had “to build a multi-racial and multi-generational movement which will include young people of colour in its leadership and tackle issues such as equity and environmental justice”...

Just another dim-bulb dem, running on CNN “talking points” and tag lines.
It won’t be long until she steps on the wrong democrat toes, and she’ll go dormant...it’ll be another “shut up and vote with us” moment.
Of course, she’ll be getting the congressional salary then, and will dress to the nines.
I agree. But her constant idiotic statements get tiring after awhile. As if what she says matters that much. It doesn’t.

“Diversity” and “vision” are participation trophy trigger words. They are hollow, meaning nothing but to generate faked emotional responses that are hoped to fool weak minded Non-Player Characters (NPC) that happen to vote.

And what, praytell, did she promise you for your support? Or did she have dirt on you that she threatened you with like she did with her competitors?
I think you are probably right. However, if Pelosi does not develop something with the new wave of younger representatives it will probably not go well for the Dems long term. On the other hand you could say something similar about the GOP’s leadership situation as well.
