While I was reading this letter that was kind of released today, my main concern was that there is no vision, there is no common value, there is no goal that is really articulated in this letter aside from we need to change, she said. I do think that we got sent to Congress [with] a mandate to change how government works, to change what government even looks like. But if we are not on the same page about changing the systems and the values and how were going to adapt as a party for the future, then what is the point of just changing our party leadership just for the sake of it?
Ocasio-Cortez a 29-year-old upstart progressive who spent her freshman orientation protesting with environmentalists outside Pelosis office also expressed concern that opposition to Pelosi could produce a more conservative Democratic leadership.
If anything, I think that what it does is that it creates a window where we could potentially get more conservative leadership, she said. And when you actually look at the signatories, it is not necessarily reflective of the diversity of the party. We have about 16 signatories, 14 of them are male. There are very few people of color in the caucus. Theres very few [sic] ideological diversity. Its not like there are progressives that are signing on. Its not like you have a broad-based coalition.

Not very bright, is she. The new kid on the block takes on Goliath. She must have a death wish.
20 Nov: Climate Home: Extinction Rebellion eyes global climate campaign of non-violence
Group wants to spark civil disobedience around the world, but US campaigner says it will have to lose white, middle class image
By Chloé Farand for DeSmog UK
Extinction Rebellion is working to establish campaign groups beyond the UK, with coordinators already working in the US, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Italy and Spain. But much of the movements international expansion is focused on the US...
(Bernie) Sanders presidential campaign, which inspired Extinction Rebellions mobilisation strategy, has given rise to a new generation of young leaders including more women and people of colour a trend reflected in the US congressional midterm elections.
Newly elected liberals, led by the 29-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, are demanding the Democrats back a Green New Deal to rapidly transform the economy to 100% renewable energy in a decade a target largely in line with Extinction Rebellions own demand to reach net zero by 2025...
Henn said that the only way in which the Extinction Rebellion movement would take off in the US would be by moving away from a climate movement that is predominantly made up of older, middle-class white people.
Instead, Henn said Extinction Rebellion had to build a multi-racial and multi-generational movement which will include young people of colour in its leadership and tackle issues such as equity and environmental justice...

note what ex-BBC gloBULL warming gate-keeper, Richard Black - who featured in the Climategate emails - has to say about the Extinction Rebellion (and Ocasio-Cortez-like) pipe dreams:
17 Nov: UK Times: White collar eco-warriors to spread chaos
by Will Humphries, Ben Webster
Richard Black, director of the Energy & Climate Intelligence Unit, which supports strong action, said the groups 2025 target was an ambition that technically, economically and politically has absolutely no chance of being fulfilled. It would mean banning flying, scrapping 38 million petrol and diesel vehicles and disconnecting 26 million gas boilers all within seven years

A CENTURY OF DEMOCRAT PROGRESS
Just another dim-bulb dem, running on CNN “talking points” and tag lines.
It won’t be long until she steps on the wrong democrat toes, and she’ll go dormant...it’ll be another “shut up and vote with us” moment.
Of course, she’ll be getting the congressional salary then, and will dress to the nines.
I agree. But her constant idiotic statements get tiring after awhile. As if what she says matters that much. It doesn’t.
The Democrats created the monsters that will eat them.
I do think that we got sent to Congress [with] a mandate to change how government works, to change what government even looks like...”
Soon enough she’ll refer to the Constitution as “outdated” and “not like very compatible with modern times”.
Che and She. The only thing that changed is the gender and country. History repeats itself.
“Diversity” and “vision” are participation trophy trigger words. They are hollow, meaning nothing but to generate faked emotional responses that are hoped to fool weak minded Non-Player Characters (NPC) that happen to vote.
I am so stealing this. Thanks.
OMG. Total bafflegab.
Where are mexicans and sub-mexicans going to flee when our country becomes another non unique shit hole?
And what, praytell, did she promise you for your support? Or did she have dirt on you that she threatened you with like she did with her competitors?
I think you are probably right. However, if Pelosi does not develop something with the new wave of younger representatives it will probably not go well for the Dems long term. On the other hand you could say something similar about the GOP’s leadership situation as well.
