Border troops authorized to use force, detain illegal immigrants: Report
The Washington Times ^ | November 21, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

The White House has signed a memo granting the troops stationed at the border authority to engage in some law enforcement and to use lethal force if they are in danger, according to a report in Military Times.

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly signed the memo, which allows troops to assist the Border Patrol in crowd control and even detaining illegal immigrants, the paper reported.

The memo appears to make good on President Trump’s insistence that the military play a more active role in preventing the migrant caravans from overrunning the U.S. border, as they did a month ago on Mexico’s southern border.

Homeland Security signaled it would welcome the assistance.

How long before a Federal Judge gets their robe in a twist and issues an injunction?

Good.
Posse Comitatus was adopted during the Hayes Admijistration to placate Southern State governments chaffing under Federal
Post war occupation.
It does NOT block president from using Federal Troops in case of an emergency like this invasion.
It’s not even grounded in the Constitution l.

One of these judges needs to have about 25 of these illegal invaders on his front porch.

Good,34 Illegals in TJ were arrested yesterday for drugs and being drunk. Poor people have drugs but no food. Boot them back to their country. Mexico turned them over to immigration for deportation.

Would really help for a National emergency Martial Law buffer zone along the border to release a lot of the legalities that the lefty lawyers and judges try to use to run immigration instead of the president. Failing that, at least a border closure and set immigration allowances to zero till the wall is built, phony circuit judge restraining orders are lifted etc. Why aren't the Presidents advisors reminding him of some of the broader powers he has at the touch of a pen, like

"The exclusion of aliens is a fundamental act of sovereignty … inherent in the executive power," the Supreme Court said in 1950. And lest there be doubt, Congress adopted a provision in 1952 saying the president "may by proclamation and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens and any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants" whenever he thinks it "would be detrimental to the interests of the United States."

I wonder aloud if the TRO issued by the Redcoat judge in SF is a blessing in disguise in that it leaves Trump no choice to tread softly, gently in this Soros-infused quagmire but rather a full on pedal to metal pathway toward militaristic solutions.

I heard today they were being withdrawn from the border because they weren’t being allowed to do their sworn duty.

“How long before a Federal Judge gets their robe in a twist and issues an injunction?”

Of course most federal judges think they have such authority.

And the authority I’m referring to is to intervene between a CinC and the military in a national defense action.

However, no decent POTUS would pay any attention to them. And any who did should be impeached and removed from office.

That is exactly what I heard yesterday. The brass was pulling the military OFF the border. Now this....
