Chief Justice John Roberts is pushing back against President Donald Trump for his description of a judge who ruled against Trump's migrant asylum policy as an "Obama judge."
It's the first time the Republican-appointed leader of the federal judiciary has offered even a hint of criticism of Trump, who has previously blasted federal judges who ruled against him.
Roberts said Wednesday the U.S. doesn't have "Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges." He commented in a statement released by the Supreme Court after a query by The Associated Press.
Roberts said on the day before Thanksgiving that an "independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for."

It just occurred to me, that Judge Roberts may still be accepting ‘guidance’ from the Obama Team of Czars and Progressives. Accepting guidance now for the very same reasons he bowed to this influence before.
Justice Roberts may still be compromised in some manner.

Then reign in their partisan political decision-making, which is frequently overturned by higher courts.
GREAT! Then NO Democrat should object to ANY Trump judiciary nominee!

John Roberts who believes law can be invented from the bench should have never been appointed to the Supreme Court. His presence on the Supreme Court should be a lesson to everyone on how important it is to re-elect Donald Trump in 2020 and hopefully get another seat to fill with a person who will respect the law and follow the Constitution.
This doesn’t bode well for the appeal of the SF Rats ruling.
