Side 2 (the liberal side) has two options: A) it can rebut Side 1 with counter-facts and reasoned argument, putting its own weights on the balance. Or B) it can knock the weights off Side 1's pan, restoring the balance to a neutral state, but not illuminating anything or advancing any knowledge of the subject.

ELCA isn’t Evangelical. Unless one is using the term broadly and speaking of evangelizing for leftist causes. They are are step or two behind the PCUSA and the ECUSA, but they are racing trying to catch up.
