IIRC, when police run the license plate or the driver’s license they will know if the owner has CCW. Southern drivers stopped in blue states have been interrogated with “OK, where’s the gun?” followed by a vehicle search if no gun is produced.
There is prejudice against Southerners in northern states dating back to the Civil War and the civil rights era. Those empowered to act on their prejudices who have badges & guns are likely to do so. IMHO.
Southern speed traps do the same to Northerners. Got it.

I noted in my comments, that this bill is in committee and has not passed to the floor. But it is still possible that will happen. (I don’t expect it to, but it is possible)

Me too. I got orders to Fort Drum, NY while I was in the Army. I called my branch and informed them that I would submit my retirement packet and get out if they didn’t change the orders and made me go to NY. I got orders to Fort Hood, TX a couple of days later. I have always had zero desire to go to NY.
