And Kirsten Sinema, before becoming a Rep in the House 1n 2012, was quite comfortable telling people that she was a Communist, too. They are all around and are just now coming out for all to see.

^^ This. Ma was forced to retires as chairman of Alibaba by Beijing two months ago. Now he emerges as a member of the party. He is engaging in self preservation.

Hello..China is still a staunchly Communist country and the only people getting ahead are the party elites. There are no free elections in China, the government owns the means of production and centrally plans the economy and China is a totalitarian state. That pretty much says Communism to me.

How can communism have allowed such people to accumulate such great wealth? The mistake you're making is in believing that the Chinese Communist Party has had any ideological relationship with Marxist economic theory since about the death the Mao.

I don't think Ma joined the Party. I think the Party made Ma.
It's a front so that Chinese Communism can appear to be modern and partly capitalist.
Communism and capitalism cannot co-exist in the same country.

This is a communist party in name only. There are more communists in this country than there are in “red” China.

Does this really surprise anyone? There’s no way the ChiComs would allow him to get where he is without his being a Communist.

I have heard that he is actually a "made man"...that is, made by the ChiComs to look successful by reverse engineering Amazon.
