That’s not what I meant. I was just saying, originally, that throwing hockey pucks wouldn’t have much effect on a person wearing body armor.

In the face, certainly. However, a hockey puck is not the most accurate projectile, unless the school holds hockey-puck-throwing classes.

It's not dumb. And it's not really intended for adults in college.
In school shootings involving small children, a tactical problem is the ability of the shooter to aim deliberately and fire at his pace.
Throwing solid objects at his head, even if they miss, as long as they enter his field of vision, are both a distraction and a disrupter of his sight picture.
Of course, it's a temporary measure to facilitate escape and armed response.
If there's not a armed guard able to respond and kill the shooter, it's kind of pointless.
But it's better than freezing and waiting to be shot.

In Barkley’s case, that’s a funny thing, but not something unheard of. Most celebrity autobiographies are ghost-written out of necessity. The better ones list the writer as the co-author. The idea being that the book industry thinks it’s okay so long as the subject is telling the story, whether or not he’s doing the actual writing.
But it’s still hysterical.
