All joking aside, this is a big problem for these border towns when 1000s show up and park

They don’t want to be seen heartless so they tend to these folks some

The state doesn’t have legit funding to deal with this sort of thing much like when they have earthquakes and so forth

The mordida complex and cartel wealth are where most of the money is in Mexico besides Pemex

I doubt Mexico has much FEMA funding sitting around for stuff like this

And Mexico City views these almost Yanqui border towns as a pain anyhow and not home to true Castillo Mexico

Just compare how the average middle class citizen in Mexico City looks compared to these upper Sonoran or Baja denizens

Mexico City and Guadalajara look down on these indios

This mayor isn’t lying when he says he ain’t got the money

I’d like to see a link of that 20 billion in remittances which I think means money sent home

I honestly don’t know...

I do know Mexico population growth is stagnant due to emigration and some rural areas have loss in male population due to it ....Oaxaca and Michoacán and Chiapas and Guerrero

USA foreign aid to what we’ll call,Central America from Panama to to the Rio Grande is total 640,000,000

About 20% in military aid

Guatemala and Mexico account for half that figure and Panama is third largest recipient

Interesting

Mexicans In The U.S. Are Sending Home More Money Than Ever

(snip) --- Migrants from Latin America and the Caribbean are sending more money to their families back home than ever before.

These annual "remittances" — as they're called by analysts — topped $69 billion in 2016, according to central bank data compiled in a new report by the Inter-American Dialogue, a Washington, D.C.-based think-tank. The money has been a lifeline for the national economies of many countries in the region since at least the 1990s, when Manuel Orozco, a political scientist who authored the report, first began tracking remittances.

They climbed steadily since then, only to plummet when the Great Recession hit the U.S. economy in 2008. But they began to rise again in 2012. The 2016 tally is the highest amount on record and an increase of nearly 8 percent over 2015.

About 40 percent of the money goes to just one country — Mexico — practically all of it sent by migrants in the United States.

“That works out to 5k per invader per day.”

Ever had a basic arithmetic lesson?
