So frustrating.

Why do people get so worked up about something that is completely out of their control? There are only 3 possible outcomes, none of which involve any of us regular citizens. They are:

1. Trump cannot do anything;
2. Trump will not do anything;
3. Trump will do something.

If Trump cannot do anything, that means he's assessed the forces arrayed against him and concluded it's a lose-lose proposition. Perhaps that's why he vents his frustration by tweeting insults and complaints.

Or, maybe Trump doesn't actually want to do anything. Maybe he simply liked the idea of being president, in that it satisfied his ego to capture the highest elected office. He found a nice platform to present his message, and the long suffering productive American took the bait. Again, this would also explain Trump's endless tweets, insults and complaints - it's all personal about him.

Lastly, we can always still hope that Trump will actually do something, although that is looking highly unlikely at this point. Consider Hussein was deeply into Fast & furious, Russia/Ukraine, MENA, etc only 2 years into his administration. Ditto Clinton with Bosnia, Waco and all the rest. Where are the enemy agents being scalia'd? Why does the Beast get to still settle scores with impunity under the most incredulous circumstances?

So, those are the three possible outcomes. 1 & 2 simply defer the conflict(s) coming down the pike as traditional Americans really begin to feel the pain of targeted persecution.

Because the UK is not an ally. Their “friendship” is solely designed to achieve their policies,...

Well, they aren’t known as perfidious Albion for nothing.

Anyway, isn’t that what a nation/state is supposed to do?
Unless you’re a one world socialist like Obama, I guess.

Britain’s involvement in producing the discredited dossier certainly was motivated by Trump’s stand on Brexit. When the anti-Brexit Brits heard his statements, they made the move to sabotage his election with end-justifies-the-means behavior.

Trump has some Trump cards to play. He is trying to sniff out his opponent’s info and tactics with the tweets.

He is playing a game of mutually assured destruction with the info against his opponents. He is taking an incremental approach right now and is trying to get others to do the tough work of investigating and hopefully prosecuting. If things get hot, he’ll put out more info.

Timing is everything.

Yes and it's what the President wants to do for the US. But how was it in the interest of a nominally conservative government in the UK to help a socialist like Hillary Clinton become President?

“British spy chiefs have ‘genuine concern’ about sources being exposed if classified parts of the wiretap request are made public, according to figures familiar with the discussions,” continued the story. “‘It boils down to the exposure of people,’ said one US intelligence official, adding: ‘We don’t want to reveal sources and methods.’”

They have no integrity and your argument undermines yours...

If our government is being threatened, we are on the edge of collapse, let’s find out on out terms, release and let the chips fall where they may, else we no longer have a country, I would die to protect the country, to hell with the threats

“Imagine 0bama and David Cameron OK’ing an effort to prevent Trump’s election. Might explain why Trump has some reluctance to declassify.”

Please explain why this would make TRUMP reluctant to not want to shove anything he can get his hands on, up both their asses, ASAP, with ropes hanging around their necks!

“If it takes down Brennan, then fine. The truth needs to be told”.

The truth has to come out. Something I am sure Brennen did not count on.

I can see him being found in a hole just like Saddam and then face the same fate. Of course after his due process and a fair trial.

FWIW, I don’t think it was just the Brits.

The UK’s government doesn’t wipe its bum without permission from Brussels...

It’s frustrating because it is not a palour-game. It’s a coup d’etat.

If such an occurance can’t get you worked up in defence of the nation & the rule of law then I don’t know what to say.

It’s important citizens understand this & speak up. Enogh people speak up & things change. Stay silent....then they bury you.

Nice try, but Britain always keeps growing about a special relationship, about a deep enduring friendship. The truth is they invaded Us in 1812, assisted the South during the Civil War, were the masterminds behind the creation of the Federal Reserve, shanghaied us and bullied America into their side in World War I, and have exploited every opportunity to hurt the United States.
Rational self-interest I understand. But I also understand somebody who pretends to be a friend and constantly wishes ill for you unless you’re useful to them.

"Mu guess is that the intelligence agencies involved here have made threats against the safety of the president and his family."

Trump has twice ordered the expeditious release of the FISA warrant and it has not happened. We don't know why, but your theory certainly is possible. Every day the secrecy continues, it eats away at his credibility and fosters conspiracy theories about who is really running part of government (not to mention that the real foreign government trying to influence the US election might have been Britain, not Russia).
