HuffPost, a liberal news site, was lampooned after saying Christmas classic “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was “seriously problematic” over claims that it features sexism and bullying.
“Viewers are noticing the tale may not be so jolly after all,” the outlet’s video said. “And they’re sharing their observations online.”
Among those observations was the suggestion that the TV classic was a story about racism and homophobia, while calling Santa Claus abusive and bigoted.
“Yearly reminder that #Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a parable on racism & homophobia w/Santa as a bigoted exploitative prick,” read one comment shared by HuffPost. “Santa’s operation is an HR nightmare and in serious need of diversity and inclusion training. #Rudolph,” read another. ..."
President Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. weighed in on the topic, tweeting “Liberalism is a disease.”
“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” isn’t the first classic cartoon that was decried as problematic today.
Critics attacked ABC’s “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” which first aired in 1973, for seating its only black character, Franklin, alone on one side of the holiday table while all other white friends were seated on the other side.

As a kid I looked forward to that show every year. You’d have to be a completely joyless, angry, miserable pile of poo to by offended by it.

there is not a movie or tv show ever that had no possible sexism or bullying in the eyes of these people if they really wanted to be honest with themselves.
The left are obsessed over sexism and bullying and race because they can’t face the real issues that need to be addressed aka cover up.
They have nothing to offer except whining and self pity snow flakes are of no value.

As an aside, Rudolph was written by a Jewish guy working for (I think) Macy’s or some other store. It was version of his wish-fulfillment story (adapted to reindeer) of his childhood day dream of fitting in as a Jewish guy in a gentile world by becoming a star athlete (in the author’s case, baseball) and thereby getting the girl he had a crush on.
In other words, a pretty typical teenage angst story, which everyone has, and so everyone can relate to.
His brother (or some other relative) adapted it to music and put in on the screen.
In the “Grinch” the Whos in Whoville are a racially homogenous apartheid state who have excluded the Grinch solely out of racist animosity. So he is totally justified in sabotaging their festivities in the name of social justice.
