Well, Santa in this is rather dismissive and cruel when finding out Rud has a funny nose. He even shames the dad for something he can’t help.

But other than that, I love it.

As an aside, Rudolph was written by a Jewish guy working for (I think) Macy’s or some other store. It was version of his wish-fulfillment story (adapted to reindeer) of his childhood day dream of fitting in as a Jewish guy in a gentile world

Still my all-time favorite Christmas show.

If you’re a well adjusted thinking person you can see it as a tale about how others learn that a thing that is different about someone is actually what makes them special. But if you are an NPC your algorithm has been updated to decry it as “problematic” and “bigoted”

I’ve always said, Santa is a total a-hole in that show, and Rudolph’s dad is a dick too. But you get warts and all in such a gritty realistic slice of North Pole life.
