What we don’t have is a controlling legal authority to do anything about it.

Maybe we do or maybe we don't. If you follow the Q-Anon people, which I follow but don't completely believe, Huber is on the case with a team of over 450 prosecutors and 50,000 sealed indictments.

Assuming that Huber is not really in control, then such controlling legal authority resides in the DOJ and potentially in the office of POTUS. Either one can appoint a special prosecutor to investigate all of this malfeasance. I have often on these threads called for exactly that - a new prosecutor to conduct basically the same investigation that Mueller is conducting but directed at all other non-Trump related actors, as the Mueller mandate should have directed.

Of course, Mueller should not have been appointed. We do not expect the FBI to investigate the FBI, or DOJ to prosecute the DOJ. This is the purpose of the Special Prosecutor law. And as the 12 year head of FBI he is too conflicted on the surface (let alone whatever his unethical motives may be) to bring justice.

So we'll see if or how it shakes out. I for one cannot see Trump letting it slide much longer. Whatever reason he has delayed, be it Sessions' inadequacies or political calculation, Trump has made the decision to take all the hits and only let a small portion of the media fight back for him. Justice must be served, and I believe he knows it is a legal, ethical, moral and political imperative that justice be done. So I wait. And watch. And gripe on threads like these.

“Maybe we do or maybe we don’t. “

No, we don’t. That’s the problem. Trump has to appoint a special counsel himself or convene military tribunals. The few solutions he has left.

I think we can safely say that real justice is a slow process. Whether there is a process in place now for spygate is anyone's guess. But ultimately there may need to be a blue ribbon investigation that exonerates many of the principals like Brennan ahd Comey. The next level down probably won't get much punishment either e.g. McCabe. Below that level they will say zey were just following zee orderz.

If you look at the big spygate diagram, a big problem is that the British can spy on American citizens and swap information with American agencies. In spygate there was specific foreign interference, mainly British and the one Aussie diplomat who was buddies with Bill Clinton. Not just spying but setups. They were of course working with American intel which will need reforming. Don't know yet how that will happen, maybe not even CWII (which our enenies want). I think a collapse and reset of the federal government might do it.
