Perot was still a little torqued up because he believed the Reagan Administration, and Bush in particular, had been concealing the presence of American soldiers still being held in Vietnam years after the conflict there had ended.

I clearly remember how the Democrats trashed George HW Bush in the 92 election. He was characterized as an out of touch, wealthy white man who reneged on raising taxes. I even seen where they are now claiming it was Bush who did the “right thing” by going into Kuwait and by doing so, exorcised the demons of Vietnam. That’s funny, the Democrats were crying “no blood for oil” during Desert Shield.
Just like they trashed McCain during the 08 and now revere him, they are doing the same with Bush.
