And they probably will.
California continues its descent to third world socialist hsit hole, with a flourishing, opulently wealthy ruling class.

They don’t need to go that far. Just hop over to Calvada/Nevafornia now.

Fewer gun deaths occur when people are fixed, not gun laws.

Never ceases to amaze me how the left want to impose restrictions, taxes, even outright ban something that is clearly listed as one of our bedrock rights...
...At the same time they idolize, advocate, even subsidize abortion, a "basic human right" that appears nowhere in the constitution.

You must have missed it then. It’s right after the “You must obtain a permit to carry a weapon.” paragraph.

“...we counted his gun collection and magazines. He faced over 1,000 years in a CA prison if he had stayed due to his modest gun collection.”
And now with CA’s new Red Flag law it would take but one disgruntled neighbor to denounce him to the po-po & send them storming through his front door.

Most of the infamous mass murderers in recent years were in families that were pretty well off with money.

"Lets tax all of our God given rights. How about a poll tax too?"
Good point. The British tried to tax the press in early America, and that was one of the actions that led to their defeat.

“He faced over 1,000 years in a CA prison if he had stayed due to his modest gun collection.”
When I was crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge, outbound from the Peoples Republik of Neu Joisey to Texas, I waited until we passed the “Welcome to Delaware” sign, then turned to my wife and said, “Now you don’t have to worry about bailing me out of jail.” She dropped her jaw, and asked why. I explained the PRNJ’s ban on normal capacity magazines (leaving out their ban on hollow-point bullets outside of the home, which was precisely where we were at the time). She then asked, “How many of them do you have?” I said, “Oh, somewhere around 200 years’ worth in Rahway State Prison.” She turned white as a sheet and (very uncharacteristically) silent for about 30 seconds. Then she asked, “Does Texas have any laws like that?” “No, Texas is in America.”
With the roughly 1,000 rounds of hollow-point that I had in the car with us, I’m sure that my potential time in prison was somewhere near the remaining time until the Sun turns into a Red Giant. Phuck those states - CA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, IL, HI, etc. I can’t wait until the USSC, perhaps without RBG as a Justice, completely overturns a mess of state and local gun laws with a single decision.

That is my hope. We want a SCOTUS that not only stops these anti-RKBA laws from being passed in the first place, as well as a Court that over turns the existing anti-RKBA laws.

A Supreme Court justice once said, “The power to tax is the power to destroy.” Churches were declared free from taxes based on the Freedom of Religion. If the constitutional guarantee of religious freedom results in tax freedom, then constitutional 2A rights should also be tax free. If guns can be taxed, then free speech can be taxed.
