You can tell the lefties don’t like the Yellow Vests when they call them Yellow JACKETS:

It’s Yellow VESTS
Yeah probably more appropriate as well than "Yellow Jackets" as these are wasps and since Franch is mostly Catholic, calling them by their WASPS association probably wouldn't be accepted kindly.
Although I like Yellow Jackets better because it is more 'aggressive"
"Yellow Vests" sounds like they just like noisy wardrobes.

Even with my limited knowledge of European politics I’ve learned that American politics labels do not easily fit European political parties.
Many like the Nationalist Front do not like Americans(at least the Le Pen patriarch did at times)
British conservative parties are, well, nuts and ‘conserve” a lot of what American conservative find distasteful to say the least.
So I tend to tread carefully when picking sides in these threads.
