I miss that person. He took what he wanted in life and was afraid of nothing. He built a vending machine route in a mafia controlled town. And God help anyone who got in his way.

Those guys live by the sword, die by the sword, and it’s a very exciting life. But sometimes shorter, and can be harder to have good relationships with partners or kids or anyone, really. I think it’s a phase of life, and you’re a better man from having gone through it, like a soldier or refugee escaping certain death. Better than the guy whose entire youth was spent with his xbox controller in his hand waiting for mom to send down the pizza.
But it is ok to mellow over 40!

I think that is because what comes out of his mouth comes directly from his brain. It isn't filtered and it doesn't express any self-consciousness. It is was it is.
The reason it is "fire and brimstone" is because Peterson has the tiger by the tail and, it appears to me, because he is desperately pushing his mind, clawing his way toward elusive behavioral truths.
I think he sees that as a violent thing to do, by its very nature.
Of course, it's early and I am still on my first cup o' joe.;-)
I remain a fan of Peterson. I must have listened to two dozen audios of his.
