House Dem majority will push for law making private gun sales ILLEGAL
The National Sentinel ^ | December 5, 2018 | National Sentinel

(National Sentinel) Style Not Substance: In what amounts to additional proof that the incoming Democratic majority in the House isn’t really serious about helping lead the nation, the party of the donkey plans to introduce legislation to criminalize private sales of firearms.

As reported by far-Left Mother Jones, Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., is ready to do the bidding of several anti-gun groups after meeting with representatives from Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Everytown for Gun Safety, the Center for American Progress, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, and Gabby Giffords’ group, among others.

He asked what those groups wanted and topping the list was the criminalization of private gun sales, as though that is the most pressing issue facing our country today.

As such, Thompson is planning to sponsor legislation that would require an FBI background check before Americans can purchase guns from friends, neighbors, co-workers, or other acquaintances.

In fact, Breitbart News added, the bill would even require a background check for a son before a father could give him a firearm as a gift.

There are two counties in California, San Diego and Yolo, where the sheriff’s will only issue CCWs to a citizen who can demonstrate a need. Personal protection isn’t good enough. I predict that Democrats will one day try to legislate that an American citizen will have to have a valid reason and need before allowed to purchase a firearm. Of course the valid reason and need will have to accommodate the government’s interpretation of both.

And if you make private transfers without an FFL background check illegal, how do you enforce it?

Why, I'm glad you asked. With a National Firearms Registry, of course!

Then in 10 years when they wish to enact a National "Assault Weapon" ban, they now have a convenient list of owners that they can send letters to saying "you own such-and-such rifle, serial number xxxxx. Turn it into the nearest police station within 30 days of this notice or else be held criminally liable."

I hope the RATs go on record with this and send it over to the Senate. It will make for great ads to remove them in 2020. Let it come up for a vote in the Senate as well. It might help in removing some RATs there as well.

Well since all our guns are at the bottom of the ocean I guess we can ignore all that.
= = =
So do you admit you are part of the human-caused ocean rising?

Yes or No ... I take that as a yes.

Don’t be so sure!! First they’ll come for our guns then they’ll fight us with all the illegals to steal our nation..truly we are screwed when elections are stolen right before our eyes and our party just seats there with deers in the headlights look!! Frankly it feels like there is no hope for this nation ..our government is to damn corrupt!! When a report states that 3,000 illegal invaders from the Mexican camps have disappeared presume them to have crossed the border to the US!! Saw a picture of the pig lady from Honduras dining at a Dallas restaurant!! It’s on gateway pundit..EFFIN INCREDIBLE!! Thumbing her nose at Americans by posing for the picture!

"...just how would the liberals know about that sale..."

They will check things like insurance schedules, or if you ever took one onto a military base for hunting or range practice there will be a record of the serial number even if it is non-regulated or bought from a dealer.

They should remember that the Second Amendment was put in place with them and their type in mind. Not a threat. Just a reminder.

REAL issues confront this nation and the utterly worthless Democrats waste time like this.

How about fixing our border?

“I’m pretty sure there are people working in government that have very complete lists of gun purchasers.”

Maybe by guess & by golly, since FOPA ‘86 makes it illegal to do so. There are articles by frustrated gungrabbers lamenting the obsolete paper based records at BATF; they’re fun reading.

But lists of private gun sellers? No way, Jose.

This, however is just the beginning. “Republicans hate children and want them to die from gun violence!!” is next.

And then what? You still believe in elections?
