President Trump exchanged greetings with his predecessor Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama after arriving at George H.W. Bush s funeral Wednesday, but there was a noticeable lack of warmth between the commander-in-chief and the woman he defeated to win the White House.
Bushs funeral brought together all of the living former presidents Obama, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter as well as Trump and first lady Melania Trump.
The pair was seated in the front row of the Washington National Cathedral next to the Obamas. Trump shook hands with Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, who greeted him by saying, "Good morning," before he took his seat. Melania Trump also shook hands with the Obamas and Bill Clinton and nodded at Hillary Clinton.
But neither President Trump nor the Clintons appeared to acknowledge one another when the president arrived. Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, stared straight ahead while former President Bill Clinton glanced over.
Trump and Hillary Clinton vociferously clashed throughout their 2016 presidential campaigns and their feud has continued into Trumps presidency.
Carter is seated at the end of the row, next to Hillary Clinton.
When George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush arrived at the cathedral, the family greeted the Trumps, all of the former presidents and their wives.
Earlier Wednesday, Trump said he was looking forward to being with the Bush family.

Hillary, OTOH,.........
They didn’t have to shake hands. Hillary’s hands probably shake all by themselves.
I keep hearing that there was a deal to keep the dems from slamming Trump at the funeral. There was, apparantly, no deal required to keep Trump from slamming dems at the funeral. Because Trump isn’t a sociopath like they are.
I'm not surprised. Lord knows what he would try to do if no one was around.
He’s putrid in every way.
Tell us about your service record please.
Were you slighted when the warrior accolades were passed out?
The seating of present and past presidents is always in chronological order.
“The seating of present and past presidents is always in chronological order.”
Yes, that avoids preferential treatment of present or past office holders.
I meant to include that in my previous post but hit the send button too quick.
Okay
I don’t think bill really cared. He was just thinking about groping Melania.
I'm so sick of the over used word Hero. Getting shot out of the sky, taking a bullet on the ground, dying in an attack on a warship is all part of what is expected in combat billets.
Hero to me, is those who go beyond the call of their designated duties. Of course, I admire all Military who sacrifice much in their normal duties, I reserve Hero status for those who show extraordinary efforts to protect their brothers-in-arms that will result in their own death.
Think of jumping on a grenade or holding a position so others can fall back and re-group or sailors who died going in to flooding compartments on a ship to save those trapped like on the Cole. A couple went in even though they knew it was fruitless - they died.
I'm sure there are many unsung Heroes (especially ground grunts) that happen all the time and don't get the recognition. Dying or being maimed is expected in any combat billet. That's the job.

Hillary ... stared straight ahead while former President Bill Clinton glanced over.
Slick was ogling Melania. Hitlery was too hungover to move her head a lot. And she was probably fuming about having to attend a Bush funeral and unaware of her surroundings.
When was he wounded? My father was in WWII, Korea. and Vietnam x2. He was never a hero. He served and did “HIS” job. The heroes are the Alvin York’s, Audie Murphy’s, Bob Howards, and the biggest heroes are everyone who DIED for your right to be a critic. I had many Montagnards die from GSW,s, add a 1LT who died on 24 APR 69 calling in and and adjusting air strikes . Yes, he was shot in the chest, knew he was dying, and; yes he said-”I will call in and direct air until I die. Bush is not close to any of these men. No he was no REMF. Hero my ass.
look below.
Roger that.
Bert you can read my BIO. I did my jobs and was rewarded by Chief Infantry Branch with 2 years college year round to include salary, tuition, books in May 70- May 72. There were only two other Infantry CPT’s at UNO on that same program. Both had a DSC’s. I did not have a DSC. Both were platoon leaders in units wiped out in Vietnam and both were left for dead. John Page was from West VA. He was in the IA Drang with the 1st CAV. His body was stripped and he was left for dead along with his RTO. That is a hero. He was humbled to be the first man from a coal mining town to go to college. I served with many heroes.
“When was he wounded?”
The people you mention are heroes.
In war “hero” is used very inclusively.
You could argue that true heroes are those who showed extraordinary courage and possibly saved others’ lives while risking and possibly losing their own.
You saw what happened when Trump claimed that McCain wasn’t a hero because he was just an unlucky guy that was shot down and imprisoned.
I think McCain and Bush were both heroes.
Do you think McCain wasn’t a hero?
Benedict Arnold was more of a hero than John McCain.
