Sounds like the Union inspectors repeatedly did a *copy and paste* for these fake inspection reports from their climate controlled office.

Apparently, too much to ask for the Union members to actually go out on the tracks.

Ok, so I get not doing your job is bad juju.

But is the expectation that a “bad tie” gets worse over time? Would the measurements be expected to increase or decrease? If the inspector tells me that there is a bad tie and that it needs to be replaced ... why would it not be replaced right away? Is there a margin of acceptable error?

What if the measure DIDNT change? Is that a problem as well? If that is the case, then the natural human reaction to expectation of change of measurement is to “find” such changes. That seems just as bad to me.

Just confused as to why the measurement staying the same is ASSUMED to be a falsehood. I guess I dont understand enough of the day to day mechanics of rail roads.
