Uh, IIRC, all spending and appropriations bills originate in the House - not the Senate.

In Oct, McCarthy (House) proposed increasing the 5 billion, from the House appropriations bill, to 25 billion for the wall..... and some Senators on the board, like Murkowski, balked at that by saying the didn't know where the additional money would come from.

Cruz, Infoe, Rounds and Kennedy just put up a bill that answers Murkowski's question.

As part of this bill, it would be a perfect complement to cram through a national voter ID card as a supplement to ensuring the honesty of elections.

If I recall correctly a bill was already passed, just not funded. If that makes a difference? Also, no reason the Senate cannot propose a bill, the House takes the text and passes it first then it goes to the Senate for passage.

People have tried to raise private donations for a border wall. They could only raise around $100K. One billion is about what a major political party can raise during a Presidential election year (when there a big potential policy paybacks in play).

Partner, The Rinos in the House and maybe in the Senate right now would never pass a bill so the Rinos in the Senate and House blew the chance of getting our Southern Border Wall built that we need so badly in our country especially Border States.

Do you know that there are more Spanish speaking kids in our schools right now in Texas and the percentage is 52% right now? We need a Southern Border Wall so we need to fund the building of the Border Wall since we have been waitng since 1986 and this year was the last time that we had amnesty passed.
