It works just its confusing once you send your DD214 it takes a few days to get approved. Then just go to the px and create an account/

prices are not much better than elsewhere unless there is a sale or some other discount.

I have avoided Ca sales tax for a year using this wonderful program on many purchases.

My most recent orders were perfume for my wife, and a new Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner.

First, I had significant savings due to a sale on each item, free delivery since my orders were over $45, and no sales tax, 7.75%.

My combined orders were about $400. So, I saved another $30 bucks without the sales tax.

Wow! Never heard of this.I will most assuredly be signing up.Of course at least a few states, and very possibly more than a few, will try to put a stop to this in the courts.

I sent a copy of my DD214 that shows my service number and my SS# side by side (I was drafted before SS# and Service# were the same). The response I got says that my numbers don’t match.

Screw you. We also put in a hell of a lot more time than those who did not serve to retirement. We also had a contract with this government which they are repeatedly reneging on . Those benefits were earned. So get off your f’n high horse a-hole

If you find it cheaper elsewhere -tell/show the cashier- the exchanges match prices; including from the Internet.

It's a pain in the ass grocery shopping, but for higher priced items it's well worth it b/c you save the sales tax.

>> Four years USAF, Honorable Discharge...the site doesn’t know me...screw’em.

Not too impressed here, either - 5-1/2 years active duty in the Air Force (Vietnam era). They want my DD-214 ... INCLUDING pages 2 and 3. Huh? What the hell are pages 2 and 3?

I’m “Vietnam era” also, and there was never a “page 2 and/or 3” for my DD-214. In fact, I remember the particularly stressing that “your entire career summary is on this one page...do not lose it!”.

I did fine without the site before tonight, and I’ll be fine without it going forward.

Wow, thanks for posting this! I had not heard about this new benefit for veterans before. Thanks to the Republican controlled House, Senate, and White House patriots for providing this starting on Veteran’s Day 2017. No thanks to the “news” media for keeping this great news buried…

I created a new account with very little problem. I passed the simple eligibility test right away with just the last four of my SSN, my DOB, and last name. They obviously had the record of my 4 years of USAF service from 1976 to 1980.

I need to let my nephew USAF veteran know about this (in case he doesn’t know already…)

“We also put in a hell of a lot more time than those who did not serve to retirement.”

Based on your reply those kids who got deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan and had their arms or legs blown off before completing their first enlistment didn’t earn anything either you elitist prick.

“So get off your f’n high horse a-hole”

Practice what you preach Blue Falcon.

My original statement was a statement of fact not a complaint. My retirement is untouched by the change and likely will not be effected, but it may not be for future retirees. But rather than disagree with what was said, you chose to come back as an a-hole, attacking and throwing up non-relevant arguments. Not one of your arguments had a thing to do with what was said. You come back as an a-hole, that is the way you get treated in response. You apparently don’t have the mental ability to understand what was being said. If you are going to throw up arguments, at least make them accurate and relevant. Retirees vs those who honorable served amount to 17-20 percent, not the 2 percent you stated. And, the fact that retirees still have plenty of benefits is an asinine statement and would be like you contracting for a 2000 sq ft house to be build and when the house is done the contractor tells you that you are only getting a 1000 sq ft house, but that it is still plenty of house. Your statement that my reply says that those who lost legs arms etc didn’t earn anything is also false and again shows your lack of mental ability to understand what was said. I dealt with a lot of pricks like you in the military who have chips on their shoulder, feel entitled, have a myopic view of what is going on and lack the mental ability to see beyond their immediate little world. Don’t bother responding. You’ve proven you are a complete a-hole who is incapable of looking beyond his little entitled world. I’ve wasted enough time on you.

Do you really blame the promises of a recruiter on a website for honorably discharged vets.

The Dyson Hair Dryer was $249 in the NEX sales flyer, all the other stuff was older models of products. The IRobot Roomba is not the new model and is $299 in the sales flyer.

The only thing I buy at the Commissary is Meat and V8. I can buy the rest from Kroger’s cheaper and get gas points. BTW gas is more on base than off. I’ve been couponing since the boys were little and he was a E3.

Does NOT apply to gas, booze, or smokes. O put the full tax on them. You just miss paying the local Sales tax.

Our Navy base is BUPERS and most products are high priced, even the Commissary. It has a 5% restock fee. I usually shop Krogers for 90% of groceries as they give gas points up. I bought gift cards for Christmas as our family is very scattered. We had enough gas points to give the 2 boys $2.00 off gas per 35 gals as both of them drive a lot for work. And we still have the same amount for us to use.
