The solipsistic socialist is twisting the dragon’s tail.
Nancy Pelosi should be happier than she seems. The Democrats recently harvested enough votes to retake the House of Representatives, and she will again be elected Speaker of that body in January. But a lot has changed since 2011, when she last held the gavel. She isn’t accustomed to being ambushed on live television by the President about border security, or having newly minted members of her own caucus demand the creation of select committees while encouraging activists to besiege her office. Pelosi no doubt feels nostalgic about Barack Obama and Joe Crowley when musing about Donald Trump and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The latter, ironically, may well be more irritating to Pelosi than the President. Trump is a Republican after all, and is thus expected to have a somewhat adversarial relationship with the top Democrat in the House. Ocasio-Cortez, once she is actually sworn in, will be a mere novice congresswoman from Pelosi’s own party. Were she not so fuddled by her 15 minutes of fame, she would try to keep her head down and learn her trade. She would studiously avoid alienating senior members of the Democratic caucus, without whose support she cannot hope to survive beyond one term. And, she would never — ever — consider twisting the dragon’s tail.
And Pelosi is a dragon. No one becomes Speaker of the House without copious reserves of ruthlessness and guile. Pelosi has been cordial to Ocasio-Cortez, but won’t hesitate to incinerate her if she becomes a real nuisance. Utterly oblivious of this, the bumptious “girl from the Bronx” was so elated to find that her office is just two doors down from Pelosi’s lair, she sent a video to her Snapchat followers...

Pelosi is in more trouble than she might think. Ocasio is the face of the millennial dumbass socialist. It’s going to be out with the Liberal in with the Commie.

Solipsism: The idea that only one’s own mind is sure to exist. Anything outside of one’s own mind or experience is unsure, and may not even exist at all.
this is exactly why what’s-her-face is a one term wonder. nancy wants her buddy back, and this chick is a monumental pain in the a$$, so they will literally deluge that district in money for crowley (or whatever the last guy’s name is) in the 2020 primaries.

remember that she snuck up on him in the first place; she won by getting 14K votes in a district with 223,000 registered dems. no way she gets insanely lucky twice.
Exactly. There isn’t anything pelousi disagrees with what Cortez the killer says. And she doesn’t mind her bleating her sociaist garbage. It’s crazy talk, but it shoves the party even farther left over time. The left has always had their crazies that spout what seems insane only to have it become part of the Democrat platform, eventually. It’s how we got to where we are now.
A) I think AOC doesn’t have to worry about kissing arse with the house leadership, one gets the impression her constituents enjoy having a ‘Rock Star’ rep; and she might well represent what they believe. Only a brain-dead fool would underestimate a first timer who took down a long standing member, low turnout or not.
B) She is a litmus test and a symbol; how she proceeds matters far more than her tiny influence in the house.
C) Only idiots who deserve to lose (influence, credibility, elections) EVER underestimate someone. I regard those that demean her potential influence (as opposed to her cognitive capacity)as idiots deeply harmful to the conservative agenda, more so than a mere Democrat.

Nancy Pelosi is the most successful Speaker in our lifetimes, at least.
Ocasio-Cortez is not stupid. She is ignorant and knows a great deal that is false.
She is very dangerous. People with her delusions have murdered tens of millions in living memory.
And she won’t take any sh!t from this upstart.
