Opinions: Climate-change deniers are a danger to our security
The Washington Post ^ | December 18, 2018 | by Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 12/19/2018 7:26:03 AM PST by Oldeconomybuyer

Imagine during the Cold War that one political party, in the face of overwhelming evidence that the Soviet Union was engaged in espionage against the United States, had a nuclear arsenal pointed at the United States, kept Eastern Europe under its thumb and imprisoned dissenters, refused to consider the Soviet Union a danger - of any sort - to the United States or other Western democracies. And they would offer no credible evidence to the contrary, but rather assert that it was all a hoax. Besides, they’d insist (with no evidence) that it was too expensive to address the challenge posed by the Soviet Union, a danger which they claimed didn’t exist (So how expensive could it be? Don’t ask!). Actually, you don’t have to imagine this scenario. Many on the left have made arguments along these lines, and many on the right have responded by saying they were fuzzy-headed, in denial or captive of interest groups.

That is essentially what is going on, only with the parties flipped, in the climate-change debate. Climate-change denial has become as necessary to one’s right-wing identity as aversion to immigration, opposition to most abortions and a disbelief that sexual harassment and assault are widespread. Just as rejecting geopolitical reality became a requirement of inclusion in far-left circles, climate-change denial is a must for those who want to remain in the Trump fold.

At some point, maybe in 2020, Democratic candidates are going to start running on the very sensible conclusion that climate-change deniers are a menace to Americans' economic well-being, comfort and security. It is long past the time to challenge, confront, debunk and frankly, embarrass, adults who’d rather adopt some tribal identification than solve a pressing and all-too-real danger to the country.

Few deny that earth’s climate has changed in the past and is changing today and will be changing in the future.

There are two big lies that these mindless souls keep pushing. One that climate change is man made and two we can do anything about it.

Well as for the second point, history has already shown us that when the climate changed in areas that there were humans those humans either moved or adapted.

This explains why humans are the only species on earth that can live (almost) anywhere on earth, in the ocean or in space.

Those that push the whole man made climate idea care nothing about the environment, they just want laws that control people and the ability to transfer wealth from the average person (to their pockets)

I've always used "climate stasis denier".

They believe that the climate should always stay the same, when in the real world, it doesn't. It's always in a state of change or flux.

There is no such thing as a static climate. The global warming crowd uses this fact to exploit their hoax.

I'm a climate change denier because there's been so many times I can't count anymore, where the climate change hystericals have predicted doom and gloom for the planet and their deadline comes and passes and nothing happens.

How many times do we have to be lied to before we realize that they are LYING to us to further their own political ends?

It is the Sun, you silly bitch, not the actions of Man. Man is a speck on a flea’s ass compared to the 800,000 mile diameter fusion reactor in the sky, and these idiots either don’t understand this, or think that they can con all the rest of us into believing it so that they can exert control over our economy and our actions. Those of us who are clear-minded enough not to buy into this crock of shit are not a threat to National Security, we are only a threat to their dreams of control.

I remember them - they were called the Democratic Party. The NY Times was their party newsletter.

How about sparing trees and going paperless. Trees absorb CO2 gas. Reduce that carbon footprint, right?

That’s is precisely the position held by democrats in the 80s.

Now they are hysterical with Russophobia.

The left just lies.
Just like “reasonable gun control” is really about confiscation,
Assisting the poor and middle class is really about power and control and confiscation of wealth,
Obamacare is really about big government,
So It isn’t really about “climate change”. It is about redistribution of wealth and the promotion of socialist concepts with the ultimate goal of communism, which is a false dream in denial of human nature, and in conflict with human rights.

I am just waiting for their claim we must eliminate dissenters in order to reduce the global carbon footprint. Exhaled CO2, food production, and farts you know...

Whats dangerous is the echo chamber of supposed journalist who keep spreading disinformation to divide our country. If your a real journalist,do some research into the science of climate cycles and the GRAND SOLAR MINIMUM.This is the truth of what is going on with our weather. It is a natural cycle that been going on since the earth came into existence. It also explains all the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions going on all over the world. It is NOT caused by humans!

just another neocon:

Wikipedia: Jennifer Rubin is an American journalist who writes the “Right Turn” blog for The Washington Post. Previously she worked at Commentary, PJ Media, Human Events, and The Weekly Standard...
Commenting on working with her from 2000–05, Hollywood animator and trade union leader Steve Hulett described her to Media Matters as “always funny, with sharp observations. I never got the impression she was anything but a Democrat ... she was mildly critical of some of Kerry’s campaign moves during the ‘04 campaign, but she wasn’t in the Bush camp ... it’s somewhat startling to me that she is now hard right.”...
Slate blogger David Weigel called Rubin “one of the right’s most prolific online political writers”...

In a tweet referenced by CNN Media, Mike Huckabee questioned Rubin, writing “Jen Rubin is WAPO’s excuse for conservative,” and adding that Rubin’s “contempt for all things Trump exposes her and WAPO as Fake News...

Now they are hysterical with Russophobia.

Which is a bit hypocritical considering that the whole Global Warming/Climate change bit was a piece of Russian propaganda .

Man made Globull Warming is Bull Crap, and those who worship at the altar of this Fake Science based on manipulated data are BAT crap Crazy.

In the 70s they were telling us to get ready for the next ice age. Then we were told it was going to get so warm, the ice caps would melt and we’d all drown. Then they had to change it to Climate Change, because neither prediction materialized on schedule.

Real Scientists point out that the Sun plays the major role in the Earth’s Climate Cycles-Not Man/Fossil Fuels. We are indeed going into a Grand Solar Minimum. Not only has warming stopped, cooling is on the way.

The Grand Solar Minimums are also a time when Volcanic and Seismic activity picks up. If Krakatoa area keeps on, we may very well have a repeat of the “year without a summer”- which happened in the 1800s, and one of the largest earthquakes hit the New Madrid fault line.

Ask a brain dead liberal, what caused the end of the ice age-IT WASN’T the automobile. What was it? Well here’s a scientist who knows about icy stuff:

Icecore researcher Jørgen Peder Steffensen, Ph.D. Center for Ice and Climate, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen answers:

“The earth’s climate has gradually become colder in the last 40 million years. Approximately 35 million years ago the ice cap on Antarctica began to form, and circa 1-2 million years ago the ice cap in Greenland and in Scandinavia and Canada arose.

Even though there has always been a gradual cooling throughout time, the climate has, especially in the northern hemisphere, fluctuated dramatically between periods of great cold (ice ages) and less cold (interglacial period).

The gradual cooling appears to be caused by continental drift: Antarctica become isolated at the South Pole, the Himalayas were formed and the Isthmus of Panama appeared out of the sea (2 million years ago).

With the current configuration of the continents the earth is apparently susceptible to climate effects through variations in the earth’s orbit around the sun (the so called Milankowich theory).

Over the last 40 million years the CO2 level in the atmosphere has fallen from 1000-2000 ppmv to a minimum of 180 ppmv 20.000 years ago. Not since the Perm period circa 250 million years ago has the CO2 level been so low.”

Repeating that last line: NOT SINCE THE PERM PERIOD CIRCA 250 MILLION YEARS AGO HAS THE CO2 LEVEL BEEN SO LOW.

Now a few questions for the brain dead disciples of Globull Warming.

1. Since CO2 used to be very high, but has been getting lower, how could it have caused warming/end of ice age?

2. Since we all agree that clean air is desirable, why is China allowed such high levels of pollution by their sacred climate compact to fight Globull Warming?

3. How is the UN or whoever going to use the tax money to stop climate change?

4. Since trees/plants use CO2, why don’t we just let people keep that tax money so they can plant more trees and veggies in their own backyard?

Since we are proposing talking to liberals here’s some info from the NY Times (we call it The Slimes):

“One acre of trees annually consumes the amount of carbon dioxide equivalent to that produced by driving an average car for 26,000 miles.

That same acre of trees also produces enough oxygen for 18 people to breathe for a year.” - New York Times

-Environment Canada, Canada’s national environmental agency:

“On average, one tree produces nearly 260 pounds of oxygen each year. Two mature trees can provide enough oxygen for a family of four.”

We have enough trees to take care of our family, cars, and some leftover for the neighbors, in our yard-front and back.
We also have an extra lot that’s got at least 1/4 of an acre of trees, and 20 acres outside of town that is full of mature trees. Also we have gardens and berry bushes.

Now, tell the brain dead liberal, that you are way ahead of him/her in solving the problem, and tell them to quit drinking the Globull Warming Koolaid and plant some trees before they freeze to death.

RANT OVER.

Thanks for the ping-TIK
