I work for Postal Service. Will not get it off (dist ctr). We “got” a day of mourning off for Pres Bush but while offices were closed and no mail delivered, we had a normal day with only a handful of senior people getting it (I have 32 years, didn’t get day off). However we have a pd day of mourning that we can take sometime in next 6 months.Same thing when Reagan and Ford died.
Right now the Post Office is on my bad side.
USPS says a certain and valuable package is still in NC at a sorting facility. Amazon’s tracking has had it a sorting center in my city as of two days ago. Nothing has changed.
It’s going to my UPS Store box where most everything else is coming in OK or appears to.
Many of our RCAs were out delivering parcels on the day of mourning. Lord knows we couldn’t go a day without those Amazon packages being delivered. I had to work sorting those parcels, which was okay because at least it was a quiet day. We sure paid for it the next day though.
How long before you get to retirement? I hit 32 years this coming January.
I could retire now but am only 56, and will wait a few years
Six more months until I am eligible. I will probably stay another couple of years also.
You guys are missing something. He should tell them to clear out their desks of any personal items. Second why is no one calling it a paid vacation? An extended one at that. Trump tells them to go to a bank and borrow the funds.
His much work would be done on Christmas Eve, either in industry or at the office? Not much.
Work Monday, Tuesday is Christmas, and most everyone takes the rest of the weekend off.
