Professor emeritus of the University of Louvain, Felice Dassetto, has claimed the number of secular Muslims in Europe is in steep decline and more are becoming radicalised.
Professor Dassetto said the secular world and its values are becoming less attractive to contemporary Islam and that Muslims are turning toward more reactionary forms of the faith, Il Giornale reports.
“There is a bit of disaffection, but there is no mass abandonment of the faith, the phenomenon affects at most 10 to 15 percent,” Dassetto said, noting that at least 80 percent of Muslims across Europe now claimed to be religious.
Dassetto also noted that Friday prayers in various mosques were seeing more younger Muslims participate and noted that younger Muslims, particularly those in poorer areas, were far more prone to radicalisation.
“Salafism, more than the Muslim Brotherhood, is investing in the socialisation of children and women,” he noted, and added that radical Salafists were using materials to “promote a soft Salafism ” centred around the needs of the community and poor which he warned could entice and radicalise young people.
On the topic of integration, Dassetto said that it was failing despite repeated attempts by governments, saying: “studies say that even the third and fourth generation youngsters, the children of parents born here, they maintain a certain hesitation about their belonging.”
The professor’s comments echo those of scholar of radical Islam Professor Gilles Kepel, who has warned that without proper integration programmes countries in Europe could face the possibility of civil conflict.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart London, Kepel suggested that for France the answer to the problem was for the government to help foster a French identity through the school system.

Like here, they get in Europe and the media and schools are telling them the Europeans are racists who hate they and that Islam is great. What could go wrong?
Importing mooselimbs in great numbers to Europe, is just the 21st century version of what Europe has done before, with the Bubonic plague, except this will ultimately be much worse for them, much much worse.
I knew a Muslim who said he ate pork and did all the things he wasn’t supposed to until he got married. He married a 13 year old when he was 40. She was pregnant when he brought her to America as his wife. He had already had six children in slightly over six years. When we discussed it he said he wanted at least 13 because that was the number his father had. Over lunch one day I asked why he was having so many children. Without a moment’s hesitation he said, “We need soldiers for the jihad.” Thinking back on it, he knew nobody at the table would or could do anything about it so he didn’t care that he told us the battle plan. My entire view of Islam changed in that moment. We are making a terrible mistake allowing Muslims into our society. We will become France with all the rapes, genital mutilation, acid throwing and control you’d expect from ninth century conquers.
One day, in a fit of anger, he swore at me, (this was at work where I was his boss) and said, “You will not like it when we are in charge. You will be my slave. You will pay me taxes.”
I had worked with him patiently over and over to get him to perform his job correctly. I concluded his IQ was sub normal as he thought the world worked by magic and he could make things happen by just saying them. For example, he had never said the word “divorce” because if you say it three times you are divorced. He didn’t know if it had to be said all at once or it was cumulative and he couldn’t ask anybody because he couldn’t say the word. I asked, “if you said it three times and nobody heard it, what difference would it make?” He wasn’t sure, but he didn’t want Allah to hear it. And, no, he wasn’t joking. He had zero sense of humor. I mean, none.

the muslims are doing everything right in an effort to take over the world. Democraphics are powerful. In Europe, people have fewer than 2 babies. But immigrant muslims have many more. I don’t know the current number. By the end of this century they will rule half a dozen european countries and have big impact in th uS. The only way to defat them is to keep them in their native countries and no one has the balls to do hat. Trump comes the closest with his 7 country ban.
The world of the next century will be islamic.
Doubtful they are more radical. They just don’t feel the need to hide it any more.

If so, then the next century will be a repeat of the ninth century, but with cell phones, automatic weapons and nuclear bombs. Christianity gave us the most prosperous civilization in human history. Islam will give us the bloodiest.
The one saving grace may be this. If there’s anything Muslims hate more than Christians, it’s other Muslims. I hold the belief that the first nuclear exchange will be between two Muslims countries.
