Trump's border wall may get funding after all (thanks to this dirty little Washington secret)
Fox News ^ | December 20 2018 | Jason Chaffetz

Can the government spend money that has not been specifically authorized by Congress? In theory – no. In practice? Absolutely.

Each year the government spends hundreds of billions of dollars on things that are not specifically authorized by Congress. Both Democrats and Republicans have been complicit in this practice.

President Donald Trump, to his credit, has worked hard to get his wall funding properly authorized. But he may ultimately do exactly what presidents before him have done: take advantage of the broken Congressional process.

Add it to the CIA budget. It’s secret. Nobody outside the Inteligence Committee will know.

From the author:

During the Obama administration, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated $310 billion was spent on unauthorized appropriations in FY 2016 – the last fiscal year of his presidency

Money quote right there. These freaking people in the swamp are raiding the Treasury and not a single bureaucrat sees the inside of a cell. Way past time to water the tree a little.

If Trump would issue “Wall Bonds”, Tax Free 3% bonds millions of people would gladly buy them. Denominate them from $500 to $100,000 and people will get way more than bank account interest, and do something patriotic for the country.

70,000 people have died from drugs that came across the border, a wall would stop much of this.

Because it would be Fed Govt. Bonds there would be no issue of accepting the proceeds of the Public purchasing these bonds.

They wont see the inside of a jail cell, as what they are doing is not illegal.

Congress, for decades, has either directly or indirectly granted the Executive Branch broad discretion in how funds are spent. As the author notes, this loose language has allowed every administration to quite legally shuffle funds around.

The Congress created this situation as it has allowed them to avoid making tough choices, only they have the authority to fix it.

President Trump has worked hard to get his wall funding properly authorized.

And he continues to show them how to win at their own game. Remember he has only been doing this for less then 2 years. They are doing things they do not want to do, by saying that the big guy made them do it.

The world's greatest deliberative body, (US Senate) will have all eyes on them today. They have one path to success and many paths to failure.

However it turns out, Mr. Trump has several paths to success.

1) Defense spending

2) Private funding (Wall Bonds, etc)

Some tricks we have not thought of.

Your def. of ‘illegal’ must vary from mine...I find ZERO authority via A1S8, let alone 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th that authorized Fedzilla to spend, let alone EXIST, at its current size.

As if the 3-branch circle-jerk cares one iota vs. Constitution re: LEGAL.

No way! The CIA was deeply involved in the 2016 presidential election for Hillary and active in the ongoing coup against Trump. The CIA is dirty to the core of it’s soul. It needs a massive enema to clean out 70 years of deceit, corruption, skullduggery, lawlessness and murder.

Tricky W gave us the Alaskan missile defense system and the New Orleans out flow canal defense system without congressional approval. They are both “Test Systems”.
