That works when there are only a few people here and there with guns.
But with conservative estimates of about 1/3 of Americans owning guns - that's more than 100 million gun owners with 300+ million guns and a trillion rounds of ammo, and the news of confiscation occurring at the speed of electrons - don't see his scenario as sustainable.
Luckily, I'm not one of those gun-owners, so....

In my family, the men and women carry. The trend in America is towards constitutional carry and ownership and use. The author is missing these key points, and more. That would rile too many people up in the foreseeable future I think. Seems like their best plan is just to wait until we are much farther down the cultural slope and to keep as many people as possible obese and super-entertained in the meantime. Eventually only a very small % will be able to imagine getting off the couch much less willing to fight to keep their guns.
