The $500-million climate carnival concludes

COP 24 just concluded in Poland. Nearly 23,000 climate saviors attended this 24th annual climate carnival.

Every year, plane-loads of concerned busybodies fly to some interesting new location to spend tax dollars on a well stocked 12-day holiday.

Few delegates arrived by bicycle or solar-powered plane – a fleet of at least 100 commercial, private, and charter aircraft brought them at a cost estimated at U.S. $57M. When the costs of hotels, ground transport, food, entertainment, air-conditioning, and office services are added, the bill is likely to top $500M.

Their carnival has a carbon footprint bigger than my entire lifetime.

Locally, we have Bristol Motor Speedway. On Race day, there is just barely enough parking spots for all the jets bringing people to see the race. The planes number in the hundreds

It takes CO2 to stop CO2, apparently.

The local chamber of commerce welcomed them with open arms it brought a bunch of money into the local economy. After which the labor unions solidarnos went against their so called findings

All these conferences could be done via Internet. But that would not give these people an excuse to vacation.

In addition to CO2, they’ll expel a lot of methane in telling us how we should live our lives when they get back.

So every attendee spent $22,000 to attend?

And to think how much trouble I used to get in from Accounting when if I ordered a side of mushrooms to go with my chicken-fried steak.

doesn’t matter how many planes there are- our contribution of CO2 to the atmosphere amounts to just 0.00136% of the atmosphere- man is in no way shape or form causing climate change- 0.00136% of the atmosphere is nowhere near enough CO2 to cause a massive thick layer of CO2 to trap heat- there is no thick layer of CO2- there are only isolated small areas of CO2- and the vast majority of the atmosphere is free of CO2- - we could increase our levels of CO2 100 times and still there would be nowhere near enough CO2 to create a thick blanket5 of CO2- We are never even going to increase our CO2 100 times-

Krakatoa's recent eruption spewed more CO2 into the atmosphere than the entire human race does in 15 years.

So I guess that means we're all going to die soon because the climate kooks keep harping on us that if we don't do something RIGHT NOW to save the planet, it will be gone in 10 years.

If the volcano released that much carbon during its eruption, then we're already past the 10 year mark now. We're goners, for sure.

Not a word from the climate kooks though. They're still recovering from their hangovers from partying at the climate carnival for a week.

The issue with the liberals is never the issue (in this case, global warming).

The issue is always the socialist revolution. They don't care one iota about the climate, the environment or the planet.

They hammer us on reducing or eliminating fossil fuels because they are the energy sources of capitalism.

What they really want is to squeeze capitalism out and install socialism in its place.

Not because socialism is a better economic system.

But socialism is a better system for controlling the masses.

The elites will be fat and happy while the starving masses think they are somehow saving Mother Earth.

It’s not the CO2. It’s the fact that we HEAT the air.

Every combustion engine, every jet engine, every heating/cooling system on every house and building produce HEAT. Cities are known ‘heat islands’. WE DO ARTIFICIALLY HEAT our local environment.

However, it takes time and much energy to produce that heat.

We might raise the ambient temp. of a city by a few degrees over 24 hours. A cloud can drop the ambient temp. by 10-20 degrees in seconds.

I would compare what we do (anthropomorphic warming) to the entire ‘globe’ as what our computers do to our homes. Sure, they kick out extra heat and raise the temp. right around the computer. But you can’t heat your house with it, and if you open a door to the outside (assuming it is fairly cool out), it won’t mitigate the loss of heat.

What these Global Change alarmists should be doing is Thanking God for giving us humans the intelligence to build things that produce heat. Can you imagine how cold everywhere would be if we didn’t use things that generated extra heat ?

P.S. Most of the real ‘climate change’ is caused partially by humans because they change the ‘environment’. The city I live in experienced climate change (as do most cities) because of the heat island effect. Many times storms headed toward the city will either rise above or go around the city. Also , part of the two states I lived in used to be a dust bowl. Now it is not. Nobody complained about that ‘climate change’.

Sometimes the change is for the better, sometimes it is not. Globally, these things tend to balance out.

Abolish the 16th Amendment to the Constitution and these glo-bull warming problems will rapidly dissipate.

[[WE DO ARTIFICIALLY HEAT our local environment.]]

we do not heat the globe- and these ‘heat islands’ are very very very small in comparison to the total amount of globe- it is not causing global warming- and it is the sun which heats these ‘islands’ not out engines- the only reason these ‘islands’ get hotter is because they are cleared of greenery and replaced with asphalt- but again- these areas are insignificantly small

[[It’s not the CO2. It’s the fact that we HEAT the air.]]

That is not what climate alarmists claim- they claim it IS the CO2- causing ‘cloud banks’ that ‘trap the escaping heat’ (Heat rises)- but just like the scenario above- these ‘cloud banks’ are very very very small compared to the entire atmosphere-, and heat has the vast majority of atmosphere to escape through- only getting trapped in very tiny areas- and most of this trapped heat gets radiated towards outer space- not back towards the earth- only a tiny percent gets radiated towards earth-

It is ridiculous for climate alarmists to claim that this small amount of trapped heat can be causing climate change- they should be ashamed of themselves for suggesting it-

[[I would compare what we do (anthropomorphic warming) to the entire ‘globe’ as what our computers do to our homes. Sure, they kick out extra heat and raise the temp. right around the computer.]]

I wouldn’t even give it that much credit- CO2 comprises only 0.00136% of our atmosphere- and even if you throw in our machines ‘causing heat’ it is still so small that it has almost zero effect globally- There are so few major cities i n the world that it can’t possibly be causing global climate change- Can it cause very minor, limited local change? Yes- global climate change? Nope-
