The Time for Social Intervention is at Hand

In the turbulence of this political storm our society is at the point of no return and our own worst enemy is us. It is our failure to motivate our own neighbors and urge them to support America before we lose it forever that spells doom for the greatest country our earth has known.

In the last century a standard of mankind was that if something needed to be done to confront evil, Americans stepped up and did it. That may be a thing of the past, but we must understand that what we do beginning right now can alter the 2020 election the result of which will alter the course of history for a long time to come.

In 2016, sixty-three million people voted for Donald Trump and trusted him to drain the swamp. He may be rough around the edges politically speaking, but like the plumber we call when our drains are backing up, we don’t care if he’s a bit sloppy we just want the toilet to flush again.

President Trump still has work to do and he can’t do it without our help.

I try to keep in mind the core principles of conservatism and rephrase a couple of them in the form of questions to ask people if they believe them.

If they say they do, I explain that this is a conservative position that democrats oppose.
If they give me an objection, rather than argue I say, "You know, I used to think that too. But, when I looked at it honestly I learned ..."

Do you believe in...?

1. Responsible (personal responsibility and self-reliance)
2. Pro-enterprise (living within our means, support for responsible free market economy)
3. Pro-freedom (freedom of choice, liberty, free speech)
4. Pro-defence (strong national defence, security, safety)
5. Pro-justice (rule of law, justice)
6. Pro-community (diversity, tolerance, inclusive, openness, international)
7. Pro-opportunity (equality of opportunity for all, aspiration, empowerment, education, social mobility)
8. Compassionate (prioritising the vulnerable, social justice, civic-minded)
9. Pro-democracy (patriotism, limited government, pro-family, sovereignty, localism)
10. Principled (fairness, integrity, pragmatism, respect)
11.Forward-looking (support gradual change, stewardship of heritage and environment, supportive of innovation and technology)

I was talking to a man Christmas morning while we did a little volunteer work at a church to prep for feeding some needy families....he was dreading the Christmas dinner at his mom's because the whole family is bat$#!+ crazy Left Wing....he said he was the same way until his early 20s and while in college someone encouraged him to actually back up some of his notions with a little fact research...been solid conservative since and his family hates that....kind of ironic that a young man entered college a Lib and came out a Conservative...

Thanks for your list - I use similar tactics/questions but never had anything written down - this is a good set of base questions.
