Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez branded Donald Trump's border wall 'a campaign fantasy' and said he has a track record of discrimination against non-white people.
The newly sworn-in congresswoman spoke of the 'dysfunction that the President is advancing' in the offices on Capitol Hill as the Government shutdown continues with no sign of a breakthrough.
Ocasio-Cortez gave her reaction following Trump's address to the nation on The Rachel Maddow Show tonight.

The demidiots are using her, they send her out to spout any unsubstantiated crap they can think of hoping something sticks and if she’s caught by the media in a lie (unlikely) they can simply point to her and say , well... she’s er um new here.

This claim is, like most of what Ms. Occasional Cortez says, utter BS.
Trump was involved in the NYC commercial real estate market for 45 years before entering politics. In that market, among the most competitive in the world, rivals (or people that just plain don’t like you) will use any tool to hold you back or prevent a deal from coming about. He had to deal with partners, banks, zoning boards, pols of various stripes (mostly with their hands out, of course), employees and unions. If Trump was a racist, it would have come out LONG ago.
Further, because of his notoriety (and love of publicity), Trump has been followed around by the NYC news media for over 35 years. Again, if there was something - ANYTHING - there, it would have been on TV and on the front pages of half a dozen papers.
Oh, and there’s the little matter of all kinds of Dem politicians (Bill & Hillary being among them) who hob-nobbed with Trump and one or more of his wives - for DECADES. Wouldn’t these “paragons of racial virtue” have noticed if Trump was a racist, and shunned him (if not publicized the fact, to increase their “street cred”)?
Again, Ms. Occasional Cortex is spouting off about things of which she knows NOTHING (or less than nothing, where she just plain makes $hit up, like in this case).
Given she’s ‘Sandy from da Bronx’, I wonder if there are any family members of hers that worked for the Trumps at any point....hmmm
Yes. They are making her into some kind of Rockstar image. Just as they did with Obama. They are certainly enabling/ promoting her popularity and I find it troubling.
