Not stolen it was conquered.
And the guys we “stole” it from, stole it from somebody else.
Correct. Prior to (and after) the Europeans arrived, various indigenous nations on this continent warred with each other and, yes, took each other’s land.
Paid for too, and not just in blood.
practically every land mass on earth was conquered at some point in history- Even the Indians in this nation conquered lands from other Indians as they expanded outwards- but by golly faux do-gooder liberals like hogg won’t mention that in their diatribes
“Not stolen it was conquered.”
An ancient Persian military base was just discovered in Israel. How far back must we go? At some point, probably every meter of land belonged to someone else. The American Indians, by-the-way, had no concept of land ownership. If they claimed nobody owned it, did they indeed “own” it?
I am so tired of this kid.
Anyway-Give the US back to the Indians and then send Hogg back to Holland or Denmark (wherever he’s from) :)
Conquered and most of it paid for.
“Not stolen, it was conquered.”
I would add that the land was largely uninhabited and that had we not settled it someone else would have and that if Muslims had conquered it instead of Christians the world would be a much different place today.
Conquered, then as America does, also paid for in gold, and affirmative action and the blessings of the Greek/Roman/Judeo/Christian gift of the culture of Western Civilization.
I believe we paid for it as well.
Not stolen, gentrified.
In any case, we don’t know for sure, but a few hundred nomads came over the ice land bridge a couple thousand years ago. So they were not original inhabitants either. Did idiots like him know how many civilizations crossed through Hungary from the steppes into Central and Western Europe over a couple thousand years? The Celts don’t even truly belong in Scotland - they came from France. By rights we should be telling Queen Elizabeth to pack up her family and head back to Hannover. (sarc).
The natives could have been treated better, no doubt about that, but calling the land “stolen” is just immature thinking.
