This is all the stuff we have learned about SpyGate. The CIA deployed their assets in "dangle" operations against Trump campaign officials to try to create some plausible Russia connection.
The got far enough with Carter Page to use his dealing with their secret agents as the pretext for a FISA warrant on him, with which using the "two levels of connection" rule they could get to pretty much anyone on the Trukp campaign.
And the Mockingbird Media has been in on it from the start, which we know from Wikileaks, the Steele dossier story and the leaks of Michael Wolfe, former Senate Intel committee staffer.
I have no doubt about CIA complicity in going after Trump, I'm just not sure about this guy. Maybe, maybe not.
In its history, the Republican Party has nominated a candidate again who failed on his first try only twice—Thomas Dewey in 1948 and Richard Nixon in 1968. Romney won’t be the third one.

Both parties are reluctant to give a failed candidate a second chance.
