Last May, T-Mobile promised to stop selling its subscribers location data after reports surfaced that it was being funneled to law enforcement officers whod otherwise need a warrant to get it. But that hasnt happened so far.

AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint have reportedly all agreed to do this. But at this point, who can believe them?

Makes you wonder.......have Facebook, Google, and the rest.....fessed up to all of their secret dealings with users' data?

but according to the motherboard article, many of those who buy the packages then resell individual tracking to nefarious groups for nefarious purposes ...

I have that feature on my phone, but these bastards have started using my number as well as the numbers of my son’s school and the after school center to call me.
Seeing all these “class action” lawsuit ads on TV for Roundup, hip replacements, this drug, that drug, etc. I wonder why no one has thought of filing a class action suit against the telemarketing industry as well as the cell phone providers.
I’d go for about 90 billion dollars with a further 2 trillion in punitive damages against the telemarketers and a smaller amount against AT&T, Verizon, TMobile, etc.
The goal is to completely and utterly bankrupt telemarketers.
Harassment is not protected by the First Amendment, and that is what telemarketing is.
