T-Mobile sold subscribers’ location data to "location aggregators" that was then funneled to law enforcement......
............this sort of privileged info is of necessity obtained by L/E using warrants........

Makes you wonder.......have Facebook, Google, and the rest.....fessed up to all of their secret dealings with users' data?

“They won’t sell our location data, per se, you have to buy a package of deals to get that data thrown in for free... “

but according to the motherboard article, many of those who buy the packages then resell individual tracking to nefarious groups for nefarious purposes ...

That’s no more AT&T’s problem than using a Chevy to rob a bank is GM’s problem...

other than the fact that they are selling your PRIVATE real time location in the first place ...

I have that feature on my phone, but these bastards have started using my number as well as the numbers of my son’s school and the after school center to call me.

Seeing all these “class action” lawsuit ads on TV for Roundup, hip replacements, this drug, that drug, etc. I wonder why no one has thought of filing a class action suit against the telemarketing industry as well as the cell phone providers.

I’d go for about 90 billion dollars with a further 2 trillion in punitive damages against the telemarketers and a smaller amount against AT&T, Verizon, TMobile, etc.

The goal is to completely and utterly bankrupt telemarketers.

Harassment is not protected by the First Amendment, and that is what telemarketing is.
